  1. The elephant in the room is that Carney wants to blow the budget but the budget was already blown by the last guy.
That means he has to borrow or get the BoC to print billions.
The exchange rate will indicate which he chooses.
Don’t know about anyone else but a weak dollar can very well break a nation.
Carney can play whatever shell game he wants with the budget, but the monetary markets and international creditors are not fooled.
Maybe this time around the creditors will force an insolvency.

  2. Interested American here. Watching a country self destruct is painful. We have our own pain though reclaiming our country from the parasite class. But you have too many parasites to vote your way out anymore.
For anyone worried about this 51st state nonsense, we don’t want you. Sorry, that sounds harsh, but we just don’t need more problems.
If the west finally gets tired of being taxed to death, talk to us about Associated Commonwealth status. No senators or voting reps, but easier trade and military protection. But absolutely no to Hong Kong West, aka Vancouver.
Finally, for anyone who thinks the US will let Canada become a defacto Chinese colony/client state, have you heard of this guy named Trump? When even the North Dakota Air National Guard outclasses the entire Royal Canadian Airforce, you have limited options. Again, sorry to be harsh, but that’s the way the world is. If your new leader says the old relationship is dead, what do you expect when living next door to a superpower?

    1. Harsh?
The truth is what it is.
      Canadians can’t handle the truth.
I’m going to be laughing – and working till I’m dead instead of retiring – but I’m surrounded by these assholes and I’m going to mock them relentlessly.

    2. L- Gus, plain speaking, grounded in reality. What our American cousins have long being known for and needed in these “times that try men’s souls”. Thank You

  3. I actually heard some boomtard on the radio this morning talking about how hopeful he is that Carney is going to be fiscally responsible. It’s just astonishing how stupid they are.

  4. “There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always— do not forget this, Winston— always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless.
If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face— forever. ”
    ― George Orwell, 1984

  5. Now that the Libs have a razor thin minority, don’t discount the likelihood of them talking to a handful of NDP MPs about crossing the floor. Without official party status, NDP MPs now have tiny budgets. Even if there’s no offer of a cabinet post, you would still get a larger budget and a voice in a governing caucus. That’s got to be a tempting offer for a party which is on the brink of dissolution.

    1. And they will turn a few of those “Progressive Conservatives” The Linda Stronnach kind.
Let the rearranging of the deckchairs begin.
      The true lesson of this “Snap election” is this;
“No matter how much you think you hate the state funded media,it is never enough”.
That the blatant lies of “Dead Indian Students” continues to be used in Can Ahh Duh..tells you there will be no Truth and no chance of reconciliation.
Will the emergent Nation of Buffalo end the Canadian Apartheid System?
      End the Reserves?
Will all citizens be equal before our laws?
From what we stop remitting to our enemies in Ottawa,we could buy out every “Indian”1/16 of 1/16 or whatever.
For the current system is designed to promote huge bureaucracy in the name of “helping”.
While prolonging the division and chaos.
The clients of Indian and Northern Affairs, whatever their current title, are to be perpetual clients..
      Never to be free.
Never to be full citizens of Canada.
Our Progressive Comrades get their jollies tormenting poor brown people, where ever they find them..
      But we are the “racists”!

  6. Predictions:

Liberals will interpret this as approval for more of the status quo, but faster and harder.

The InDeepers likely still have enough residual grey matter to conclude that abandoning the blue collar guys and girls for the greenies and grannies probably wasn’t a great idea.

And the Conservatives will listen to the very same poli-sci twerps who engineered this disaster, and based on their analysis that Pee-pee was too polarizing, will pick a new leader in the mold of scheer-the-steer or no’tool.

Canada: old Abenaki word meaning “where both losers and winners are losers.”

    1. I predict fat ford will come in and merge the libtards and CPC so we can finally have the one party state they dream of.

  7. A few points:

Imagine how terrible Telford and Butts are going to be now.

PP needs to know he and every other Conservative can never win in the Ottawa area in the foreseeable future – 20 years minimum.

    PP needs to resign.

The Drug Cartels, Chicom Mofo’s and Organized Crime are super-emboldened with the Liberal victory.

    Inflation here we come.

    Zimbabwe or Venezuelan future?

    Or Walking Dead?

    1. “PP needs to resign.”

Why in world would he do that?
      Who’s gonna replace him?

      I hope he stays
If there is a leadership challenge I hope he wins it.
He is an excellent leader and one that advanced Canadian Conservatives further anyone before him in decades.

      1. Point number Two – Because he can’t win in the Ottawa.
That place is closed to all Conservative candidates for decades.

I will also add that he’s done his fair share.

  8. The results were just too “on the nose.”

Bernie Madoff was exposed because his success was so improbable it attracted the attention of independent investigators.

The LPOC squeaks out another win to remain in power, destroys both opposition leaders and once again proves they’re the most successfully elected political party in the history of the planet.

When Dominion Voting Machine left their office on Spadina in Toronto immediately after the fake win by Biden , they gutted the entire floor and dug up the sidewalk for weeks working on the underground com. cables.

  9. By the way, what happened to our lad Justin? Did he manage to find work? Parking cars possibly?

He disappeared from public view faster than a conservative discussion forum.

  10. F@#k you Ford!
    F@#k you Trump!
Double f@#k you Maxipad inbred morons!

    That is all.

P.S. Have you ever met a Maxipad who was not a frustrated, failure in life, loser?

  11. That map pisses me off.. Most Canadians live near the border.. The PCs won the border areas.. Look at it.. Quebec and the EMPTY AREAS OF CANADA hold way too much power.. Just saying..

  12. The political reality is that the CPC has shifted about as far towards the more extreme views of the PPC as is possible without actually becoming the PPC where the result is probably a hard core vote of 25-30 per cent and a stampede of softer CPC votes to the Liberals. What we saw last night was that about two-thirds of the PPC vote evaporated (went CPC probably, or stayed home). The party went from about 3% support to 1% support but looking at it riding by riding, it went down more in ridings that were in play for a Conservative pickup, than in ridings already safely in CPC column (where a PPC supporter might believe sticking to a PPC vote would not cost conservatism a seat).

The CPC is never going to look perfect to PPC supporters but I have the sense that some saw Poilievre as being a better alternative than O’Toole or Scheer had been previously. And they will likely continue to do so. To his credit, Poilievre did make positive statements in the debates and other public appearances about free speech, Liberal corruption and other matters that more accommodationist leaders would not touch. Personally I would like to see Poilievre stay on, I don’t imagine there’s some other potential leader even more appealing to the right wing of the conservative base, and perhaps some sort of merger with PPC to solidify that arrangement.

Someone will need to step aside and let Poilievre return to the House quickly. I would say pick an older MP looking at retiring soon anyway, and in a safe seat in Ontario or possibly Alberta.

This parliament may not be all that stable, Bloc have already signaled they want to be serviced and Liberals are probably not in a mood to do so. NDP are a weak remnant undergoing what will amount to life support surgery, I don’t think the Liberals can count on them for very long.
