It’s 2025 now. There’s another election. But Mark Carney is the PM, not Trudeau. And this time, when we applied for accreditation, they said we were welcome to attend! In fact, they said we could send as many reporters as we liked. Sixteen of us applied, and 16 of us were accredited.

As an American I’m curious and have a recommendation.
Trudeau gave Canada a taste of what is to come. The NDP and Liberals love it when AB and SK have their rights crushed. If Carney get 5 years, you are finished.
Trump is president and is giving the people of AB and SK a choice: Independence. You can become a part of the US. You can start a confederation of provinces and add other provinces perhaps – whatever YOU vote for – lots of choices.
However, your window is very narrow. If the Liberals are elected and you don’t split now I worry you will not ever be able to. A Democrat president will support crushing you forever. No question about that. Trump will support your freedom That’s how I see it. I don’t think he cares if AB or SK are the 51st or 52nd states, but I know he loves freedom and will come to your defense. I would hate to see Canada become the UK with an allegiance to Communist China, but Carney would do it in 5 minutes. Anyone disagree with that here?

Many Canadians, even those who want to be liberated from Ottawa, would rather remain oppressed and enslaved than be part of the evil empire known as America. Their hatred for Uncle Sam is greater than their loathing for the government status quo.

I’ve been saying this for years. Alberta, Saskatchewan, the northern half of Manitoba, or all of Manitoba, the northern half of Ontario to Lake Superior and a part of Northern British Columbia to the Sea, all join together would become the richest country on planet Earth. A complete waste of time. The US debate format is far superior: a back-and-forth between the only two candidates who have any hope of winning. I might care what the LPC and CPC leaders have to say…I definitely *don’t* care about whatever the Bloc, NDP and Greens are chirping about from the sidelines.
Better question, will all 16 of them be arrested and have their bank accounts frozen?
