  1. Carney is gonna Carney and Libs gonna Lib. What’s horrific is that there are people that are planning on voting for this guy. Go Team Canada. Hahaha.

    1. What else can we expect. There’s a large number of Kanadians giddy with glee over yesterday’s verdict.

  2. It doesn’t matter. Nothing does. The libs are 10 points ahead of the cons and Carnage 20 points ahead of PP as preferred PM. Four more years of lib mismanagement await this country.

    1. Sometimes I am just gobsmacked at the inability to see the big picture. Canada doesn’t have 4 more years, more like 4 more months. Electing the CPC won’t change that, at this point even a Milie might not be enough. Revenues are collapsing, the bond market has only so much juice and other better risks are in front of us in line. Printing is all that’s left, hello Wiemar Republic.

  3. I mentioned it to OJ a few days ago and posted a Western Standard article about it to LC in comments. Two themes, 1. Buy Canadian, it will take a lot of Labatts Blue to counter $13B CAD going stateside and 2. Carney kills Canadian pipelines but invests in US pipelines.

  4. But you can’t have one.

Perhaps Carney will encourage Brookfield to invest in wagon and buggy manufacture for the citizens of Canada.

  5. And instead of pounding incessantly on stuff like this, PP will continue with generic crap: it’s US’ fault/patriotic BS, crumbs giveaways.
Someone should tell him that if Canadians want generic liars promising the moon and the sky, they can always go for the real deal: Librano$ and NDP.

      1. There is only one party in Canada that actually adheres to conservative principles, and it ain’t the CPC.

  6. What simple minded Canadians fail grasp is the ultimate realpolitik of the situation, which is this: neither the US, nor China, will allow Canada to keep all their energy and resources in the ground.

In the end, we will have no say in it, and this is partially what Trump’s play has been about – it can happen nicely, like the joking offer of becoming the “51st state”, with all the advantages that entails, or it can happen by other means, think outright annexation.

Carney can play the “elbows up”, patriotic buffoon and cynical Net Zero god all he wants, but we really don’t have any cards to play here, and the sooner we understand the situation, the sooner we can make the best deal for ourselves. We will lose face, but the stark choice will be whose vassal do we want to become: the US or China?

    1. I’ve been saying this exact thing for years. We will not be allowed to selfishly keep what the rest of the world wants in the ground. Either we develop it or it will be taken from us by force – my picks were always China, Russia or US

    2. There will be no ‘outright annexation‘, period. The Canadians might piss us off on occasion, and they talk mad sh!t lately, but they are still family, and the American people won’t have it. If western Canada wants to join, of their own volition, I’m sure there could be transparent legal mechanisms to facilitate that. I have stated on here before though, the last thing America needs is 2 more CA/OR/WA type voting blocs entering US federal elections, and that is exactly what eastern Canada would be for the US.. Cancer? No thank you..

    3. Most Canadians will choose China. They like strong government, good and hard. Children hate responsibility, being in the US orbit means you have to grow up.

      1. I thought about inserting the subject meme here confirming your comment but everyone should have seen it by now.

  7. I’m wondering if polls ever include anyone from the West! Nanos is currupt for sure???

    1. And I agree Carney’s Brookfield company will continue to prosper while Canadian especially in the West will be driven into the ground! Separation from this shit show has to be now before it’s too late !

    2. They include almost no one under 40, the trick is to get them to vote. They hate the government, and don’t much like the country either. I have two, one gone south, one going, being wage slaves is not in their DNA. When I asked my youngest, a bright, educated 25 year old (two real science degrees), what she felt for Canada? Answer stunned even jaded me. “I feel for Canada what it feels for me. All through my education I have been told I have white privilege, and that I am a colonial occupier and oppressor, I feel contempt.” BAM!!

  8. I see this as even more ominous. These aholes are buying up pretty much everything that makes civilization tick.
Bill Gates, Carney and the WEF types are working on owning everything, and they’ll be very happy. The rest of us, not so much.

  9. Just my opinion from the outside looking in, but I don’t think the welfare of Canada and Canadians has crossed Marx Carnage’s mind.

He appears to have other plans.

  10. Carney knows exactly what he’s doing.
Smooth-brained hosers need only mark an X and he’ll take care of the rest.

  11. I always had a suspicion that the left would promote climate change until it fell apart and then invest heavily in the oil & gas industry. Beat them and then become them.

  12. As a man of the people, of course, he has people who buy his groceries for him, just like he has people to drive his car for him, do his laundry for him, and to deal with the hordes of admiring little people who want to touch the hem of his garment as he passes them with his nose held high in the air.

  13. If Trump did go so far as annexation it would likely only be Alberta, Saskatchewan, B.C., the Yukon and the North West Territories. That’s where the oil, natural gas, uranium, potash and soft-wood lumber are, which is what Trump wants. Also the Arctic for sovereign defence. Why would he want the “Elbows Up” progressives in Upper and Lower Canada that will forever blindly vote Liberal/NDP/Democrat. I saw a CTV NewsNet banner that said that “If Trump annexed Canada there would likely be a long war of attrition.” They of course cited no source so just made it up. A war of attrition from whom? Not from the West. I expect half of Alberta, a third of Saskatchewan, and a quarter of B.C. would vote to join the USA right now. When the rest saw how much their standard of living went up, they would jump on board, finally free of the rigged “Confederation” yoke. Besides, the West are the only ones left with guns. Ontario and Quebec got rid of their guns (horrors) years ago, so I don’t know what they’d fight with.

    1. “Ontario and Quebec got rid of their guns (horrors) years ago, so I don’t know what they’d fight with.”

      Elbows.

  14. This was in the news 10 or 15 days ago already. I’m sure it is no surprise to Marx as they would have been discussing this when he was Chair of the board. The guy is so full of conflicts, I wonder, if he actually becomes PM (I shudder at the thought), could he even finish the term once the MSM starts doing its job and asking him questions about this kind of stuff.

I sure hope Pierre can nail this stuff to Marx in the debates and it starts to make the soft-minded GTA voters think twice.
