  1. Who says the MSM isn’t balanced? After 2 days of gushing over King Carnival the G&M is now running a hit piece on PP.

  2. Just another reminder that the elbows-out f#@%tards referred to Bathhouse Barry as “our President.”

Going to be posting this daily all over the internet, they sure as hell had no problem with being Americans then…

  3. Meh…most who are protesting are under forty, hard core, uninformed, anti Trump marxists and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if it came out they were funded by Soros. They only wrap themselves around the flag for the optics and convince others how damn patriotic they are, nothing could be further from the truth of course. When this is all over they’ll go back to being their obnoxious selves…stopping traffic and tearing down statues like the petulant children they are. For the slightly older ones and their 1.5 kids… it’s off to Disneyland next year because they just can’t say no to Brittany and Chad. The parents will be their lippy selves once they get back.

    Don’t forget the media.
Saw this Canadian Media Headline the other day. Canadians Leaving Florida in Droves
Yeah, it’s March you dumb bunnies.
This is my favourite – Buffalo Tourism is Down. Paris, Amsterdam, Florence…Buffalo Ny.
    Uh huh.
No offense to my American brothers.

  4. The Libs having been stoking the anti-American hate for all of my 57 years for occasions just like this. They can’t run on their record, PP refuses to give them ammunition and the NDP’s usefulness to them will come to an end on April 28th so they have to fall back on the old standby and because their fortunes are looking so bleak, they have to crank it up to 11 and create as much chaos as they can and hope that they can somehow squeak through the middle.

  5. TO ALL THOSE POSTING CANADIAN FLAG PICS, “ELBOWS OUT” MEMES, REHASHING THAT OLD “JOE CANADA” COMMERCIAL, ET AL:

Anyone who knows me will attest (I hope) that I dislike equivocation, obfuscation, obscurantism, mealy-mouthed namby-pambyism, and the like.

So, if you’re of the opinion that the Liberal Party – who have been running the country for the last 9 years – have been doing a good job, and remain the best party to do so going forward, then – please! – JUST COME OUT AND SAY IT. This, of course, does not accord with my understanding of the facts but it’s not a wholly indefensible position and hey, it’s a free country.

If you believe otherwise, however, but are posting all of this, what I call “forced Canadiana” on Facebook, X, Instagram, etc., then – sorry! – I have a hard time seeing you as little more than a naïve, ovine dupe.

    Let’s unpack my accusations.

    • SALIENT FACT #1: The Liberal Party cannot be re-elected based on its economic record

    • SALIENT FACT #2: The Liberal Party cannot be re-elected based on its social record

    • SALIENT FACT #3: In light of the above, it would strain the credulity of all but its most ardent supporters to suggest that the Liberal Party has undergone some sort of post-Trudeau “Saul-on-the-road-to-Damascus”-style conversion. As witness, current leader Mark Carney served as Trudeau’s longtime economic advisor, and his team is heavily peopled with such party warhorses as Marco Mendicino, David Lametti, Chrystia Freeland and even Gerry Butts. Any insistence that the Liberals have walked back ANY of their policies that contributed to the aforementioned Salient Facts #1 and #2 is about as heartfelt and sincere as a sybarite’s deathbed conversion to Catholicism. And about as believable.

QUESTION: So…what is our Natural Governing Party going to do to attempt to win a fourth electoral mandate?

ANSWER: Go into full-blast, balls-to-the-wall “Orange Man Bad”-mode and CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE UNITED STATES and – of course! – all those domestic ENEMIES OF CANADA – i.e., those Trump-appeasing, traitorous, fifth-column un-Canadian lackeys (read: Conservatives); those subversive sell-outs peddling “Trump-style” and/or “American-style” (read: not Liberal) policies.

As I’ve mentioned in these very pages, the Liberals are aggressively leaning into the longstanding Canadian belief – we’ve witnessed this before during the 1988 Free Trade debates – that they are the best party to protect our chaste Canadian maidenhead from Perfidious Amerikkka, to whom the Conservatives will all-too-willingly “sell out” (please ignore the unstated minor premise that we need protecting, or that “selling out” is some nebulous, infantile, sub-collegiate concept that your fave indie band once did; and hey, don’t we WANT to sell stuff to the Americans?).

So by whipping up the Canadian masses – many of whom are all-too-receptive to being whipped up, whether based on genuine naïve patriotism, aspirations to national distinction, not to mention, if not outright base prejudice, then certainly ambivalent feelings about the colossus to the south – into some mindless, hyper-defensive, flag-waving, patriotic (read: anti-American) frenzy, the Liberals hope that All Good Canadians will reflexively Do The Right Thing and vote Liberal. THE VERY SURVIVAL OF THE COUNTRY (READ: LIBERAL PARTY) DEPENDS ON IT! (the Liberals have long conflated ‘the survival of the Liberal Party’ with ‘the survival of Canada’ – it’s a “thing” of theirs).

In this, the Liberals are being aided and abetted by both (#1) an uber-malleable Canadian mainstream media – almost completely dependent on government subvention for their very existence (and hence, their barking in unison like trained seals to appease their paymaster/leash holder) – as well as (#2) an entire bandwagon-jumping cavalcade of government teat-dependent, taxpayer-fleecing, subsidy-sucking interest groups, power blocs, lobbies, rent-seekers, supplicants and the like, all wrapping themselves in the flag and crying – all tears and flapdoodle – “shop Canadian”, “elbows out” and other such sanctimonious balloon juice, all while simultaneously picking our pockets.

I find all of this deeply offensive.

First of all, I was raised in a house where you were basically not allowed to sh*t on Americans (or Jews), else one would receive a stern, vituperative tongue-lashing from my mother. I grew up surrounded by Americans, did my MBA there, have friends, clients and business associates there, love to shop there, go to boat shows, hockey tournaments, road trips and the like, and resent this nakedly-transparent attempt by the Canadian Left to turn My America – a country I feel blessed to live beside – into The Enemy, almost solely for the purposes of attempting revive the Liberal Party’s lagging electoral fortunes.

Furthermore, growing up in a summer resort town -i.e., home of the undeclared class war – where more than few people walked around with chips on their shoulders, I developed a severe distaste for mindless civic boosterism, and as such, I find much of the rhetoric associated with all this “forced Canadiana” to be small, petty, grasping, graceless, cringeworthy, preeningly-obnoxious, ressentiment-addled, passive-aggressive, economically-, historically-, and culturally-illiterate, insulting to my intelligence, and downright just plain embarrassing. I certainly find it Grossly Unbecoming of Any Country Aspiring to National Greatness.

Finally, if Covid and people’s reaction to it made me lose my faith in a significant percentage of the population possessing ONE SCINTILLA OF CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS, then watching people go all half-cocked – yet again! – in what is obviously (it IS obvious, right?) a politically-motivated, curated and directed Liberal Party of Canada psy-op, gives me – to quote Yogi Berra – déjà vu all over again. Vomitis.

    My two cents anyway.

      1. TLDNR – is that the ticker symbol for Teldar Paper? (bonues points if you get the reference)

Cole’s Notes version: “The federal Liberals cannot possibly run on their record, so they are running against the USA – i.e., “Trump’s America”, are capitalizing on the Canadian center-left’s how-shall-I-say “ambivalent” feeling towards the US* and are smearing anyone who disagrees with them as anathematic, traitorous, Trump-fellating lackeys. ”

*this same strategy employed by or against others would immediately and very publicly be lambasted as “xenophobic “ and/or “racist” but the Liberals doing it to the USA seems to garner a free pass. Strauss is perplexed.

  6. Everybody always slanders the prettiest girl because they’re insecure or even buttplug ugly.
But everybody, especially famous Hosers like Myers, want to date her.

  7. Canadian anti-Americanism has always bordered on the hysterical, because it’s never been rational.

      1. Trump’s tariffs are pulling in multibillion dollar investments from foreign players, while Canada is scaring off outside (and domestic) investment.

      2. No. It’s a trade dispute. These get discussed, negotiated and finalized. But not when a country doesn’t have a legitimate PM.

        Go scream at the sky.

        Grow up.

        1. “Go scream at the sky.

          Grow up.”

He can’t. That’s why we have relegated him to the kiddie table…

          (picture Ralph Wiggum proudly proclaiming “I’m a journalism!”…that’s AllanS…)

  8. It is rather interesting that most of the population, not knowing and not giving damn about the current events, suddenly became somewhat aware and are curious as to what is it that the mass media cartel is talking about.
Well, it is the bad Americans, so you should hate, protest and swear at them Americans.
The media cartel and the talking heads on radio are masturbating on daily bases the airwaves about the orange man. It is endless.
Simply put, the Americans have decided that their preceding government was on the path of destruction, so they decided to change it.
Now, the offended are picking on an entrepreneur to oppose the government. Isn’t that interesting. The guy is not in government, he just volunteered to check the spending habits of the bureaucracy. Well did not he hit the nail on the head?
It is rather curious that the would be dicktatorial (sic), totalitarian elements of the political class can’t really spell out what is it that they are against, they of course throw excrement by their mouths to say that he is this or that without pointing to an actual sin.
Yeah …. the socialist, fascist, communists and other assorted ‘ists can’t handle the truth, so they phantasize. In their phantasizing they make stuff up as they go along, opposing something they said a day before without any thought of contradiction. Mostly they are safe, the media cartel will never ask and tell the unscripted story.
To be sure, nobody is without sin. The best that can be done is go with the lesser sin, if that is even possible.

The meme of blaming Americans is an effective diversion for good portion of the population.

  9. Carney has brought CSIS into his election campaign. The new rant is that India has influenced Poilievre and the Conservative Party. The bought and paid for media of course are pushing the story. Just ignore WEF’s influence on Carney. Or George Soros’s influence.

  10. There are over 800,000 Canadians living in the US.
    Why?
The shitty economy and high taxes of The Carbon Dominion.

      1. Yup.
I wonder what Myers actually knows about Canada.
Does he know about the gun crime, the flat GDP, the housing and healthcare, fentanyl and Armed Forces issues?
        I doubt the fcker cares.
        He’s a large L liberal.
I hope he’s hit with a piano-sized ball of shit.

  11. Carney is, if fact, and agent of the Global Socialist aristocrats of the WEF.
Carney will in fact follow and enforce the ideology of false global climate scam and will make the plebeians poor on daily bases.

  12. Canada is so insignificant that it doesn’t come up on the radar for 99.9% of Americans. Any Americans who outed me as Canadian were only interested in friendly conversation. There was no mention of tariffs or trade wars.
All the current chest puffing proves is that Canada really is the stereotypical mosquito floating down the stream on its back. It is so enamoured with itself it constantly yells “raise the drawbridge!” No one else is paying attention.

    1. That information will have to be provided by a source outside of Canada. Presstitutes & Urnalists on Tell Lie Vision must protect the Librano Crime Syndicate, or they will have to find a real job.

    2. “Well,if it’s open season, name the 11?”

I was trying to explain that to my 87 year old father this morning while we were on a ferry (because that is the only time I am ever subjected to the CTV News Network) when Carney and Singh were slamming Poilievre for “refusing to get a security clearance”. Told him that CSIS would tell Poilievre him who the 11 MPs are, but only if he promised not to tell the Canadian public by subjecting himself to arrest and prosecution if he did.

I don’t think Dad managed to wrap his head around it. I barely can myself.

  13. We are immersed in a high stakes poker game with America and other nations and America via Trump has just called everyone’s bluff. In Trump’s first term of office, because he was new to politics he was treated as the mark, problem is Trump is a very quick learner and when he left office he went straight to work learning the game of politics. Politics is a blood sport and the left made no illusion about trying to spill Trump’s blood both figuratively and literally, the problem is Trump is now playing the game under the same rules now and the Democrats have never, ever run across someone who was willing to play by their rules. Now everything is on the table, Trump knows that everyone at the table is bluffing because he’s sitting with a Royal Flush. The sooner the other players realize that the sooner we will start getting back normal.

    1. Not just the same rules, but he’s doubling down on them.
And while doing so, keeps applying new attacks and strategies in different sectors at an accelerated pace.
He and the team are applying Patton like war game strategy on economic sectors. The attacks are so overwhelming, opposition can’t coordinate.

      It Is Brilliant!

  14. Trump knows that Canada’s Liberal Party will only hasten the ruination of the Canadian Federation, and will gladly welcome the absorption of the few willing and desirable portions of the crumbled Dominion. Trudeau taught him all he needs to know about Canada. It’s a pity.

  15. I refuse to read Canadian MSM news reports, I go to Europe to read the truth. The, media have Carney running against Trump thinking that is the winning ticket it’s absolute nonsense. The elbows up crowd make my skin crawl, the only time they are proud to be Canadian is when they can get their hate on for the US. Not listening or tolerating them, I have a big ole Conservative sign on my front lawn as my FU to the liberal voters.

    1. Very good, same here M.
When I get back from my Hawaii vacay, will be planting a Con sign in my yard in Victoria.
That should get my Commie neighborhood all fcked up.

  16. The CCF, now known as the NDP, were opposed to American financing of large projects in Canada even back in the 1940’s, probably even earlier.

  17. Well, let’s call it what it is. The Liberals Plandemic 2.0. We are back in Covid times and the hysterical anti-Trump, Maple Leaf flag wavers are the the virus.

  18. Some acquaintance started on me with this tariffs bullshit and Trump. I told him it’s not Trump with his hand in my wallet up to the elbow, and it’s not Trump fueling inflation, runaway immigration and the housing crisis. And it’s not Trump that shut down parliment because of corruption and it’s not Trump trying to confiscate firearms. He didn’t really know what to say because he’s probably never heard it. It’s Bad Orange Man 24/7. I disagree with the way Trump has gone about it with Canada, but not what he’s doing in the US. You can’t get throught to people with the concept that if the financial situation in the US is not rectified, the economy will collapse. “Muh every country has debt” he said. I told him interest payment alone are financing the CCP military’s growth. Wasted spit, does not compute. Go watch Global and Colbert.

  19. I saw an ad on Facebook from A&W Canada saying they are a Canadian owned company independent of the US company. They must be worried. If I want a burger, I would go to A&W instead of McDonalds. If it is easy for me I sure will buy Canadian.
