Thank goodness Carney isn’t in a position of influence.
Every pundit says an election will be called in the next few days. I don’t think so. Why would Carney call an election now when he is off to Europe and has picked a cabinet. His ego will not allow him to potentially be a two month PM. No, he will wait until the fall to call one. Maybe even the fall of 26.
If he calls an election quickly we will not find out what a dud he really is. The longer he goes the more time we have to see the cracks in the perfect man facade. Trump is also a factor. If Carney can get a face saving deal out of Trump, then expect to hear endlessly how Carney ‘handles’ Trump. If he can’t then he is ineffective. This globalist eco activist is the greatest danger facing Canada today.
Jaymo, I agree with you and lean to 2026. They aren’t acting like a government who is ready to quit. The exception is the rebranding of the carbon tax. However at any point they feel confident of a win , they will seize it.
