Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Sorry … water main break … Nevermind.
There are a lot of people wishing for serious global warming right about now.
Leftards control the water so it’s this AND dry fire hydrants in a fire.
Elections have consequences.
See, this is an actual emergency. Mayor or Governor?
When times were good, and they were good in Detroit for a long time, they never put any money into infrastructure.
Times haven’t been that good to Detroit since the 1967 Riots, 58 years ago… there is a lot of rot in the remaining infrastructure and the 2013 bankruptcy didn’t help.
Thankfully it wasn’t this bad in Calgary albeit we had 2 weeks, I mean months, of water restrictions…
Calgary was saved because the Glenmore treatment plant could – when pushed to the limit – put out enough water to keep the city going, albeit under tight restrictions. Would very much like to know which useless ornament decided that monitoring the water main which provided 70% of Calgary’s water wasn’t a priority, particularly given that it had been know for 15 or more years that pipes with that construction were prone to “premature failure.
Climate change!!!
in canada a hockey game would have broke out
Nope … it’s in Detroit. A fight would have broken out.
BTW … I doubt any of the Somali residents of Detroit have ever seen such a thing
At least the crime rate should go down for a bit.
Wow. Gives a whole new meaning to the term “icy conditions”.
Hope they have some spare repair parts around , or old hands that even know how to fix it.
What a mess .
And great weather to work in wet sloppy conditions.
But those lines were made to last a century. What do you mean we still had to maintain them?
There are reasons its called the Rust Belt.
