      1. The comment amongst tax professionals is that competence hasn’t been a requirement for CRA hires for some time. When one does happen upon a competent agent, one thanks God kneeling (metaphorically). Also, the recent issues with the UHT, bare trusts, and – recently – the capital gains changes have tax professionals wondering if it’s incompetence or malice at both CRA and Finance. Many of us are embracing the power of “and”.
