    1. And they’ll give the CBC an extra billion to tell us what great value we got from the $200 billion.

  1. It needs to be AXED!
Punitive taxation will do NOTHING to change the climate. Period. End of story.
Yes, best industry practices will help with pollution, but a large volcanic event, shift in earth orbit or change in output of the sun will radically alter the climate on earth, not farting cows and farting people that like to eat them.

Until you can get the bipedal cattle to realize this, we are doomed to failure..

    1. Zon – climate change has happened, is happening, and will happen in the future. Those lovely potash deposits in Saskatchewan occurred during the Devonian period, when shallow seas were conducive to the deposition of potassium-rich sediments. When the dinosaurs roamed what is now Alberta, their environment was semi-tropical and swampy. More recently a kilometre or snow of ice covered most of Canada (west coast being an exception); the melting of same caused major flooding around the world, hence the “flood” narratives found among various people.
Climate change is happening; the best we can do is sort out the vulnerabilities in our infrastructure so we can cope with same.

      1. Of course it is, all the things you mentioned are real. Taxation is not going to effect any of them.

      2. Agreed. But NOW climate change is caused by CO2!!! That’s science! In reality the climate has been pretty steady these past few centuries and we were lucky not to have the Kratakoa blow up on us or some other crazy stuff. I’d like Elon’s gang to go through what happened to that enormous slush fund and somebody like Bondi to go after the crooks.

      3. Climate Change has been going on since there has been an earth! Anthropogenic Climate change is a myth the idea is driven by woke governments like the Trudeau Liberals for money and power ! And Journalists on the take are happy to join in! ( Easy money and fools for free)

    1. I think the news said yesterday that the place in BC is now some kind of bullshit historical site. Meaning you can’t dig there.

  2. Moron Math.

Idiots wasting billions trying to outpace the rate at which China and India’s emissions grow.

    1. China’s and India’s growth in emissions every four months is equal to Canada’s total emissions. That is some seriously damaging virtue signalling for socks and and his bum boy Guilbault.

  3. No, conduct a forensic autopsy, then bury the carcass.
Leave it in an unmarked grave, and call it “greenocide.”

  4. Conducting an honest audit of the Liberal government is impossible in Canada, every Judge is Liberal and the few who aren’t are intimidated by the vast majority.
As Joe said, might as well get Gerry Butts to do the audit.

  5. Let me guess… if they did away with this program they wouldn’t need a carbon tax?
Or is the carbon tax set to bring in a lot more, w/ only part to be used for “global warming”?

    1. Close. CO2 emissions will rise or decline based on economic performance, not government programs. Unless those programs are designed to kill the economy and bring on a permanent depression.

Regardless, the effect of Canada ceasing to emit any CO2 at all is so small an effect that it cannot be measured.

  6. Has anybody floated the idea that Canada’s position is that we are carbon negative? We have close to a couple of million square miles of frikkin trees, don’t tell me that’s not sucking up carbon. Tell the Paris accord we’ll be sending them the bill for a couple of gigatons of cleaned up carbon and they better pay up or we’ll let the forest fires burn next summer.

    1. Jean Cretin waved that away when he committed Canadians to the Kyoto scam.

Only 3rd world trees are eligible for use as carbon sinks.

  7. If they really wanted to trace the money they could audit The Trudeau Foundation and work backwards from there.
