Globe and Mail- Barrick considering redomiciling from Canada to the U.S. and Trump could make it happen faster, says CEO Mark Bristow
Toronto-headquartered Barrick is one of the few large Canadian mining companies left in Canada. Over the past two decades, scores of stalwart domestic miners have been scooped up by foreign competitors and many head offices have been closed down.

Magna is still hangin’ in there.
It was once called American Barrick. Thus ABX.
That would be a great loss to corporate Toronto. Think of all the lawyers / accountants / financial people.
Another potential win for Bananada. We never get tired of our version of the big win.
Gold is less than critical. What I wish they would have never allowed was the buyout of Inco, Alcan, and Stelco. They should have remained Canadian owned and managed on grounds of national security. The first thing that quit happening when Stelco was bought out was they quit smelting iron despite promises to the contrary. Dofasco quit mining iron.

Trudeau has been working hard to eliminate any virgin steel production in canada, if i recall we are down to 1 or 2 blast furnaces able to convert iron ore into steel.
I suppose his owners want to produce all their steel in their country and just use Canada to sell it to American buyers.
Sitting in traffic for hours a day getting to and from their desks gives them a lot of time to think over “WTF are we doing here?”
Businesses will leave c’da now that Pres Trump opened the doors for them to prosper there without having to face justin Trudeau’s carbon taxes, high taxes, red tape restrictions and unions beatng down their backs. Justin Trudeau has made it so impossible for anyone to live and create business and jobs. I actually think justin Trudeau want canada to collapse.
Well … “Canada” … USED TO HAVE … all those natural resources essential for America
