Oh No! How will be able to haberdash my tin foil hat without Canadian aluminum!?
Canada will never recover from the Liberals. From 1970 on they have done everything they can to rape and pillage and destroy this country. Pollievre ain’t gonna rock the boat to fix much. Even Harper has said he would rather impoverish Canadians than give up Ottawa’s grift.
Alberta and Sask need to get out ASAP. If you care about your future and the future of your descendants this is the only way to give them a chance at prosperity.
Yeah, Pollievre is awfully disappointing of late. Of all the problems and pain besetting Canadians he comes out with stiffening penalties for fetanyl traffickers, establishing a military base in the north and reducing yearly migrant intake to 200,000 or so when it should be zero, at least for a time.
In reading blogger comments from those outside Canada it seems his approval rating among them is almost entirely based on how he effectively smacks down the media. Hardly a peep about his policies.
As someone living outside the country, what am I missing folks.
He does seem obsessed with not interrupting his enemy when he’s making a mistake. It’s reached the point where he won’t interrupt his enemy when he’s burning down the barn. Pierre, though there’s much to like about him, is totally a creature of Canadian politics, and Canadian politics has suddenly become obsolete.
Yeah, you’ve got our backs, turdo. We feel you right between our shoulder blades.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t the Americans original complaint a few years ago about Canadian aluminum was that it was really substandard Chinese aluminum with a Canadian sticker on it?
One complaint is that Quebec uses subsidized electricity to produce aluminum at a cost less that other locations. The other complaint is that chinese steel was being dumped here, and relabelled/smelted/processed to become “canadian steel” before being exported to the US.
There is also the matter of the government subsidizing steel producers to change their processes from coal fired to electric arc, like the $420 million that went to Algoma steel.
How exactly is he going to “have their back” after inflicting carbon taxes on virgin steel production, forcing the conversion of several mills from virgin steel production to recycling in order to make them “net zero” and then raising the prices on products that Canadians want to buy?
And yes, I think the liberals are salivating at putting tariffs on products to get more money out of the taxpayer in order to reward their “friends”.
PM Shit-for-brains is about as reliable an ally as Canada is.
