  1. But…. MSNBC said that being out of water was all lies and climate change and don’t believe Trump because he’s talking about it and California’s bureaucrats are gods gift to all tax pay peasants!

  2. For years Newsom et al have been screaming ‘climate change’, and telling us that this would mean more fires.

So what did they do? They cut fire budgets, reduced water supplies, and let critical infrastructure fall into disrepair.
On top of that, they invite a whole bunch of immigrants to the state, with the result that cooking fires, cigarette butt fire, and just plain arson increase dramatically.

It’s gross malfeasance and incompetence, on the part of politicians and voters.

Note to SDA readers CO2 doesn’t cause climate change.

  3. Looking at the photos of it, it appears to have been under repair on May 30, 2011. All of the rest of them show the reservoir empty to now.

    1. Its not empty in all of them. There is a floating cover to prevent evaporation. If you look carefully you can see when its empty because the liner shows the shape of the reservoir the most when it’s empty.

      1. I was going by the water level hash marks and dots on the one side, they are clearly visible on every picture except the 2017 one where the hash marks are visible, but not the lower dots.

It also is only a snapshot of a single day at a single time, so maybe they filled it all the way up later or before, and only drained it for photo day?

  4. The reservoir has a floating cover. Look at the pictures and you can see when the reservoir is empty by the shape of the cover. In the 2009 picture there is no cover. skip to 2011 and the lining is installed and being worked on, there is clearly equipment sitting on the top of the cover. After that the cover shape changes. You can tell when there is no water under it as it sits flat on the bottom.

  5. Wow. A truly excellent Beverly Hillbillies reference.
I can hear both Jethro and Elly May saying cēment pond right now.
Any one of that cast of characters outshines the entire leadership of today’s California.
