  1. Ah, the timing – coming from the Grope and Fail – i.e., the official mouthpiece of Canada’s China Class – could not be more perfect! I’ll bet say, John McCallum is coming in his pants to read this (assuming he didn’t have a hand in drafting the actual article). Ditto for members of the Desmarais entourage

  2. Let me fix that headline. “China willing to admit publicly that they took over Canada in 2015”.

  3. Anyone still wondering why #ShinyPony is STILL Prime Minister even though he “resigned?”

Chinese UFO invasion for the big win. #ShinyPony is counting on #WinnieThePooh to carry the day for him.

    1. He didn’t “resign” he agreed to resign at some point in the future once the liberals pick a new leader. In the interim, he’ll just prorogue parliament for the benefit of his party, and continue to live high on the hog, like some 3rd world potentiate.

  4. Don’t forget that last item on your purchase agreement. Please insert any of your relevant national secrets here.

Anyone advocating turning our back on US trade in favor of China, because Trump is about to make everybody decide, is pure and simple an ideological idiot, illiterate and likely an evil, despicable cad, imho of course.

Wrote a paper in university in the mid 80s, aka free trade debate, for the sole purpose of convincing myself my professor was one you could feed his opinion for marks. I argued we could pivot to Japan as a “counterweight” to US “dominance” of our markets, like PET’s “Third Option” with Europe : < (. I Gagged my way through it – got an A.

    La plus ca change …

    1. “Anyone advocating turning our back on US trade in favor of China, because Trump is about to make everybody decide, is pure and simple an ideological idiot, illiterate and likely an evil, despicable cad, imho of course.”

It’s too bad you have lips stitched to Trump’s but because there is no argument for stitching ourselves to America. They are an unstable declining power.

  5. Well, the Chinese Communists already have police stations in Trudeau’s Canada so taking over more of the economy isn’t a great leap forward.

BTW, Xi is already signed up for the Liberal leadership race. Looks like this faux sign up thing might become a trend on X. Has anyone signed up as “Sunny Daze” or “Boohoo Getoverit”? I removed the author of this X post, to prevent Freeland from potentially freezing their bank account. From X :

I gave the address for the Chinese consulate in Ottawa, and just like that, Xi Jinping was signed up to vote in the Liberal leadership race.

This is too easy, even by the low standards of repeated traitors to Canada.
Give it a whirl. Break it, so they have to fix it.

    1. Does anyone know if “Justin Castreau” joined the Liberal Party of Canada yet? Anyone? … Anyone?

  6. I’ve said it before, I’m surprised Trudeau hasn’t announced we’re joining BRICS already.

  7. “Trump Brings Chaos…..”
Nope. Trump is simply using a strong bargaining chip to demand that we start doing something to clean up our fentanyl labs and illegal immigration.
This whole “chaos” could go away with one phone call and a commitment to cleaning up our act – which would greatly benefit Canada, not just the US. It’s what our leaders should have been doing all along.
But no…..just as JT opened the Roxham Road debacle as soon as Trump 1 started, in order to posture that he is against Trump, which has caused an untold drain on Canada’s finances and safety….now, rather than deal with two obvious problems decisively, JT, the media, and most Canadians seem to be happy to engage in an unwinnable economic slaughter of our own country.
Because illegal drugs and illegal immigration are like, so sacred to our identity as Canadians.
Being seen to hate Trump is more important than doing good for Canada.
SDA friends – in your conversations and interactions with others – never let them forget what the root cause of this possible “chaos” is. Our leaders would rather refuse to address our drug labs and illegal immigration, thereby trashing our economy, than agree with any idea associated with Trump, no matter how sensible that idea is.
Because after all, what is the death of another couple thousand of our kids due to drugs, or hundreds more assaults from third world imports, compared to the Glory of dissing Orange Man Bad?
We won’t solve those two problems completely. No one can. But the fact that we are unwilling to address them, or even admit that they are the cause of all this angst, shows that never Trumpers are more entrenched in Canuckistan than in most of the States.
I don’t necessarily want a new country. I just want a country that starts acting like one.

    1. It’s not our job to enforce American laws on our soil especially to fight phantom non-problems like the opioid ‘epidemic’ and free(ish) immigration.

  8. Only FILTHY LIBERALS – aka, Self Loathing Garbage Humans would think this a good idea.

Little Potato has done his penance for offending the SCUMBAG COMMIE and now XI will reward him
    FILTHY LIBERALS

  9. Xi is taking advantage of a strategic error by Trump.

So long as it does NOT compromize Canadian sovereignty, this would be a very good thing for Canada. Driving trade east is not what Trump wants to accomplish with his threatened tarrifs, and would strengthen Canada’s bargaining position.

      1. Then we have to be careful.

But the U.S. also has a habit of throwing its weight around. China isn’t the only one that does it. The best strategy for Canada is to have a diverse collection of major trading partners. When two-thirds of our trade is with the U.S., it leaves us vulnerable to the vagarities of U.S. policy, as we’re seeing right now.

        1. Not just vagarities of US policy but vulnerable to US economic decline. They are in serious trouble.

Also, that whole ‘losing sovereignty to China’ thing is overblown. Don’t borrow a bunch of money from China. There, problem avoided.

    1. Canada’s trade imbalance with Chicomland was 58.7 billion in 2023.
The year before it was 71.5 billion in 2022.
      That’s a lot of fckn jobs/money exported.
Why continue to play with a nation that believes winning is the only rule of the game.

      1. “Why continue to play with a nation that believes winning is the only rule of the game.”

But that is exactly what Trump intends to do. Canada’s best hope is to be open to all trade. That makes it far more difficult for any one partner to put their thumb on the scale.

      2. There is no such thing as a ‘trade imbalance’ and that’s not how jobs work. You aren’t owed the job you want.

  10. Right around 2022 and 2023, China focused on FDI (Foreign Direct Investment). You may have noticed a whole lot more items in your stores that are manufactured in Vietnam. That’s because China opened up a massive amount of manufacturing bases there. They’ve done the same in Mexico, Brazil, Turkey, Thailand…etc. They are in the early stages of doing the same in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Canada appears to be the next on the list.

It negates the growing issue of countries noting and acting on the obvious trade deficits between their own countries and China. It, also, is a cursory effort to negate the effects of what China initially thought to be a selective tariff applied to their mainland products by the US. I don’t think they expected Trump to suggest tariffs on all trade partners.

  11. If we have to listen to Trump’s trade trash-talk why not play along and look at options. US foreign policy has essentially created the BRICs and a serious challenge to the US dollar as reserve currency. We’d be in a hell of a lot better negotiating position if we had Northern Gateway right now. Sell oil for Gold as fiat currencies continue their inevitable journey to an intrinsic value of zero.

  12. It’s time we realized the United States is not our friend. The US always looks after its own interests first.

    As do China and Russia.

    1. The US doesn’t even understand its own interests. Few if any countries do but America is doing the most damage to itself at the moment. We need Northern Gateway, efficient ports, a big military, and a bigger population.

  13. Xi …
Recall how the #Libranos lax protocols for electing a new leader of their party?
How anyone can sign up if they’re 14 years old, or not a citizen?
    Here you go…

“I gave the address for the Chinese consulate in Ottawa, and just like that, Xi Jinping was signed up to vote in the Liberal leadership race”

Remember how the UK Navy allowed online voting to both nominate a name, and then vote for it online, and then “Boaty McBoatface” was the runaway winner?

Don’t you’s be telling me that online mischief isn’t worth every penny…

    1. Joining the liberal party costs nothing other than having to receive their propaganda for the rest of your life.

      1. Exactly why I’d sign up as Ho Chi Minh 69 @ hotmail.com

Creating an email like this takes about 5 minutes. Yes I know my standard of amusement sets a new standard of “low”.

    2. The Royal Navy didn’t do that. Boaty McBoatface is an autonomous ( unmanned) submersible belonging to the U.K.’s National Oceanography Centre and used for research. But yes, that’s how it got its name.

  14. I read where someone referred to Xi as Eleven and that’s a keeper.

Eleven and the Chicom Gang play the long game.
Even when they make massive mistakes – real estate – they still continue on the road to long slow victory, over the world.

  15. On this one I say go for it. Just don’t come near me, I don’t want to go to prison for sorting anyone out.

  16. Your (still) PM would happily become the 51st Province of Communist China … wherein he could assume their basic dictatorship … that he so admires

  17. The “ties that bind?

    Speaking of “bondage”:

The entire pork industry, from paddock / pen to plate, in Kanuckistan is apparently in Chinese hands after they had to slaughter and burn most of their domestic stock. Swine Fever and all that.

They have done much of the same to the Australian beef industry; aided and abetted by the usual suspects.

  18. Yes! It’s time to trade with the whole world. Asia is rising, America is declining. Back that BYD truck up!

Expect more of this. Trump is China’s dream come true-he’ll chase the world into Xi’s arms and decimate American influence.
