1. Flying home from Munich in the middle of summer and caught the tip of Greenland …nothing green about it.
   Trump isn’t dicking around about wanting Greenland or the Panama Canal. Interesting times.

   1. Or Canada.

      Makes sense from an American First perspective anyway. The CBC shills are in full panic mode……..

   2. I think we’re missing the brilliance of this. Greenland has now petitioned Denmark for their independence. This is to make sure they get any money that comes out of this. Trump’s posturing achieves:
      1. Creating a distraction for the idiot media to allow his appointments and domestic programs to go forward.
      2. Scaring the heck out of lame NATO allies to realistically ramp up defence. Seems they’re more scared of the US than Russia or China could make them.
      3. Gives him the initiative in any future negotiations and immediately puts the other parties on the defensive.
      US has done this to Canada before. Google 44/40 or fight!

3. The best reason for Trump to buy Greenland (aside from military ones, which are still valid as well) would be gaining access to the rare earth metals found there while denying them to any adversaries. 90% of Greenland’s exports right now are fish.

4. The sad thing is that there is nothing in Greenland that Canada doesn’t have a shitload of. We just can’t touch it or some group or another will oppose it, backed by our own government.

   1. So Greenland has just as many baby seals to club to death as Canada?

      Whatever happened to all those stories about native peoples ritually clubbing baby seals to death each season? The story got uncomfortable?

5. Trumps comments in Canada, Greenland, and the Panama canal are childish and downright stupid.

   Threatening military force if they don’t comply with annexation? That’s stuff Stalin, Hitler, and Putin are a fan of.

   There’s a reason the UN charter existed after ww2. Did you know there were 13 wars in Europe in between WW1and WW2?

   Supporting this or even brushing it off as mischief is ignorant. Grow up.

   1. Why so much focus on Trump foolishness?
      I wish all the career politicians and comedians and dictators would grow up first. They’ve been at it for longer, causing trouble, and having their illegal messes hidden by the press.
      But if we do focus on Trump, I do hope there’s no perpetual, corrupt dynasty springing from it.

      Good thing he is NOT doing that then, dimwit.

      What he IS doing is refusing to play the MSM game of answering their loaded questions to give them a juicy sound bite for their evening news broadcasts, and at the same time refusing to allow his adversaries to know what he may or may not do. That’s just smart politics.

      (remember during his last term, when CNN freaked out because Trump refused to rule out the use of nuclear weapons during some international incident? It’s like that…)
