  1. Heh. Quite a story. Sounds like the same degree of due diligence that Canadians use to pick the likes of turdo and blubber douggie.

  2. Charlie’s only error was in not constructing all that artifice and deception inside a branch of government.

  3. But there’s no horses in this story. There’s always an equestrian angle. Always.
    Oh, well…

  4. Will the JP Morgan execs who signed off on this deal get to keep their bonuses?

    Oh sorry, silly question.

  5. Facing 110 years in prison!? I guess that’s what happens when you attempt to defraud JP Morgan.

Now if you create a FAKE REIT, peddle it down at the local Orange County mega-church telling prospective investors that “Jesus wants you to get rich” … and swindle hundreds of investors out of tens of millions of dollars … investors lost every penny … the SEC recovered $0.00. Not a red cent. And not a single person went to jail. Not the newly-wealthy criminals who created the fake REIT, nor the brokers who were paid a 40% commission for every new investment who peddled this shit sandwich down at the mega-church … nor did they reveal their 40% commissions.

Buyer beware was the ONLY government response to these crimes. That’s what my gullible mother-in-Law was told.

  6. Wow. Just wait though until you hear about all tha bruthaz n sistaz, their PPP loans, their affect on crab populations and the availability of Dodge Hellcats.

  7. So… let me see if I got this right: if you sell a fake company to JP Morgan for $175M, it may get you 110 years, but if you fake a pandemic, sell $billions in fake vaccines and kill and harm millions, you get you a cushy retirement?

    1. In a related story … the city of Chicago is spending >40% (and growing) of their yearly budget on gold-plated public pensions. And yeah … early retirements abound. No wonder shrinkflation has caused 40% of the roads to go unplowed and unrepaired.
