Related story: several summers ago, I was going to take my kids to view the underground NORAD facilities in North Bay, ON, but upon doing a prelim site visit, the place was so decrepit and run down and neglected that it constituted a National Embarrassment that I would not want to show anyone and so we never went. Not exactly the way a country cultivates national pride (tampons are no compensation).
Canadians got the military we voted for. A savvy politician looking to help rebuild the country and its morale and sense of purpose should make a military renaissance and the promotion of martial virtues part of his or her platform (despite what various Toronto-Ottawa-Montréal axis political consultants and pollsters suggest – these people know nothing). Nope, no one cares whether the armed forces are rebuilt or not. Canada is a poor third world country now with no national identity. Besides, the only people those surveillance planes were ever going to be used against is us. The more useless the better.

The US will soon be no different that every corrupt poverty stricken third world country south of the Rio Grande. Demographics are destiny and there is nothing in the US that will make it any different than South America when it is populated by South Americans. Same with Canada, except it will be taken over by India, Pakistan and the Middle East. And both HQ and squadron have cut you loose, so you are swinging in the breeze for parts and maintenance.

I know the fellow who wrote the contract for the purchase of those aircraft. The money is not for the aircraft, it’s for the electronics, the processing power on board is stupendous.
There’s a LIDAR system, where you scan a ‘map’ of all the roads and then fly over them again and it will spot where an IED has been buried and a laser designator for missiles.
The most important system mimics a cell tower. It listens to every cell phone searching for voice samples and specific cell phones.
So hypothetically, if you had a voice sample of Tamara Lich from a newscast, she makes a call and every call, voicemail and text from that cell phone is vacuumed up and recorded. The onboard computer now has her contact list and will search for those phones and record all the calls, voicemail and text from all those phones too. The operator can turn on the GPS or have the cell phone transmit continuously to eavesdrop too. This was originally intended to spy on Al-Qeada and ISIS militants but I have no doubt that the Lieberals would use them on anyone who opposes them.
The demonstrator was in the Transport Canada hangar in Ottawa a few times in 2019-20. I don’t know about during the Freedom Convoy because I was at home because I refused the vaccine.
