It has now been one month since the massive Republican victory. Next month, Trump et al will take over the reins of the U.S. federal government. Stronger than a wish list, what are the “really must do” items you think should happen almost immediately once they get into power?
Here’s a starting list of ideas from yours truly:
- Pardon all of the incarcerated J6 protesters immediately.
- Enact a federal law for federal elections, which demands proof of citizenship to vote.
- Stop all funding, direct and indirect, of illegal immigrants.
- End the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
- Withdraw all American troops around the world which aren’t absolutely necessary to be there.
- Initiate multiple DOJ & congressional investigations to find out who all was behind the persecutions of Elon Musk, Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, etc.
There also is a “must not do” list. The following people must be kept clear of all appointments:

- Mike Johnson, if he refuses to get with the program
RFK Jr has to fire any higher level appointees who said the jab was safe and effective; especially anyone who was complicit in the dismissal of vax critics. Also fire those who promoted treatments that were killing people (Remdesivir, ventilators, etc); whether wilfully criminal or incompetent, they have to go. Similarly fire those who opposed ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, etc)

But there was an illuminating article on the Fox News site a week ago, saying that after three congressmen are signed into Trump’s cabinet, the Republicans will have a majority of one seat for the next 100-120 days. I get it that Trump can undertake needed reform through executive orders. But a good reform-minded budget has to be passed by both houses.
Why make up obstacles to reform like that?

Stop the massive funding and subsidization of the agriculture industry. Amongst other products, the US pays their ag complex billions to grow massive quantities of GMO corn, which, is then used to produce alcohol for fuel, typically blended with gas, and to produce HFCS, a terrible artificial sugar.
The alcohol is terrible for motors and is not as efficient at burning. HFCS is contributing to the obesity epidemic.

Re: Election Legislation. Cancel/delete all existing voting rolls. Rescind the ‘Motor Voter’ legislation. To get onto the new voting roll, a citizen must attend, *in person*, to register and present evidence of identity, residence and citizenship. The voter will also provide a thumbprint and receive a voting card (India, Isreal, Mexico…) . Voting registration closes one week before election *day*Mail in voting is to be seriously deprecated. Advance voting polls can suffice. The number of voters in the precinct are known. All ballots are counted at the precinct, a la Canada, UK and lots of other places immediately after the polls close. In order to speed counting, ballots will be produced for each race: President,Senate, House are different color paper. No chads, no Dominion hardware/software black hole determinations. Serious penalties and enforcement to preclude proctors being excluded. Voter to provide thumbprint on attending to vote.
