  1. Canada Post has never delivered parcels to my home. All parcels end up in the post office for inconvenient pick-up. They do not deserve anywhere near 22% over 4 years, as none of we taxpayers get that amount of over 5% per cent per year. 11% over 4 years is about right for bad service.

They also deserve no increased benefits, as they already receive more than most Canadians, except those in public service. Private sector firms do a much better job of delivering.

Hopefully, Canada Post will be shut down, along with a lot of crown corporations, agencies and departments that no one needs. We are in a recession, according to Stephen Poloz, former Governor of the Bank of Canada.

We all know this, as most goods are too expensive. It will be a lean Christmas, as many can not afford a turkey.

    1. My “brother from another mother” who is gay and right, calls his post person “the fat, black, lazy lesbian” who will never deliver anything other than those notices to pick up the parcel in the nearest post office.
I have posted before that it was a revelation 2 weeks ago when I learned from this website that the German Post was privatized in 1995 and that the Royal Mail of Great Britain was privatized about 10-15 years ago as well. Since then, both services post profits and no strikes. I think that is the way forward for Canada Post.

      1. DHL is better that Purolator at delivering packages, one is owned by the German Post Office company, the other by Canada Post.

    1. I just checked with my local UPS. An envelope from my area (Western Ontario) is $55 plus taxes, includes tracking. I was told to ask for the 10% discount when I bring in the card.

  3. Canada Post won’t deliver packages to your house? That’s outrageous.. I remember Canada Post being bad when I lived in Ontario 35-40 years ago. But not quite that bad.
