MPs by a vote of 210 to 117 have endorsed a recommendation to decriminalize possession of heroin, cocaine and all other illegal drugs nationwide. The result came with little comment during a flurry of Commons votes on committee reports: “We have reached the end of the road.”
…is the way our political overlords follow evidence-based science.
At this point, anything that makes the safety Karens cry is a good thing.
Also, some Darwinian pressure would help slow the proliferation of pusswillow buttercups.
Just like guns don’t kill people, people do, drugs don’t kill people, people get themselves killed with drugs.
But they linger for decades stealing, deficating on public sidewalks, breeding and soaking up public funds for health services before their bad choices take them out of the gene pool.
If they steal, defecate in public, etc, arrest them, like you would anybody else.
If they soak up public health funds, then there’s something wrong with the public health funding model.
They tend not to breed.

Have another read of the ‘motion’. It’s not a law, it’s a virtue signalling wish, desire. It is true that they can’t pass any legislation while the Green Slush Fund Report has not been provided, unredacted. This impasse continues, basically, at the behest of the Commies and the Bloqheads.

Yup…..there should be a “three strikes and you’re out” rule on that stuff.
I’ve always said, let the overdosing zombies die of their overdose. It takes them out of their misery (because the vast majority of them will die anyway) and cleans up our streets.
The naloxone kits are not for the druggies. Its for the first responders, in the event they get exposed while having to deal with these druggies.
I hate that Naloxone kits are now being made mandatory learning in Red Cross First Aid courses. I’m not giving first aid to anyone drug overdosing.
For as long as the Parliament of Canada is on hiatus, due to the #Libranos not wanting to spill the tea on their money laundering fiasco, we’re safe from being further governed by people who despise us.
I do hope the Conservatives hold to their guns and not let up on this filibuster. Possibly until autumn 2025 would be good.

Meanwhile, there are a number of egregious bills that sit in limbo, the odious pre-crime crime bill, and the censorship bill, that we should wish for Dimbulb to prorogue parliament. That would get him out of his mess, but would also kill those horrible bills. A trade off.
Given how dystopian this parliament is, the worst outcome is likely, the Bloq and Commies get served big helpings of corruption to let Blackie and his minions off the hook.
