      1. I would suggest that the effect is cumulative. Each of the events listed isn’t in itself a trigger, but rather a “next step.” or, if you will, an “escalation,” in the direction toward WWIII.
In other words, I take no reassurances from that tweet, as much as I wish I could.

        1. Cumulative. That is the new mantra now. Sooner or later russia will snap. Nu pogodi!

Russia only understands strength and sees every sign of civilized behavior as weakness.

          1. When Jessica, and the Fat Incel quit presenting LLLSM narrative as Russian stated red lines…….
None of those ‘red lines’ were stated by Russia, or Puhteen, now maybe you ASSHOLEs can quit gitting yer news at reddit.

          1. The Wan and Lonely Cabbagehead almost never comes up with something original. He must have been dropped on his head as a baby.

          2. According to old Poo, it was a new missile “impervious to all existing air defences”… now, where did I hear that, LOL.

Although, in fairness, nothing Ukraine currently has is likely to be effective again that kind of missile (long-range ballistic), not even the Patriot system. THAAD would be better, but Ukraine doesn’t have any.

    1. I think you posted the wrong link, C. The link you posted was to your first comment.
No offence intended. I tend to do that occasionally myself.

        1. This is what happens when you have the invading country dehumanize the other country. It’s not much different than Nazi Germany.

  1. I was just a kid but i remember he addressed women who phoned in with a smoky baritone “hello doll” – my mom and her friends adored him cause he stuck up for “the little guy”

  2. Yeah, Pat was second fiddle to Jack Webster (CKNW) in the Vancouver market.
I listened to him a bit, but he never really appealed to me.
If memory is correct, he was directly opposite Webster for a while, then he got moved to the 6 PM slot.
Eventually, CJOR turned into a country station and Burns was let go.

    1. And here I am thinking that Pat Burns was a former coach of the Montreal Canadiens. Wrong Pat Burns, I guess.

      1. Pat Burns had a radio talk show in Montreal on CKGM. He was quite inflammatory in his opinions and ruthless with dumb callers. He did indeed charm some ladies.

    1. How times have changed. I was 12 years old when I started riding Montreal’s subway system downtown and back. As kids, we would play in the streets well after dark, in the shadow of a street lamp, and our parents wouldn’t even bat an eyelash. (although a radio car would occasionally roll by and tell us to stay off the streets. When they rolled away, we just went back to our road hockey game. I was a pretty good goalie, and I still have the bruises to prove it. 🙂 )

      1. Indeed. I met my mother downtown at the Bay at age 5, taking a transit bus. Kindergarten was also a mile away, and I used transit to get there and back. That was 1950’s parenting, having a tradition of raising children to be responsible at an early age. I also babysat neighbour babies and children at age 11, as well as my siblings when my parents or neighbours needed to go out. My parents trusted me to make good decisions, so I did, for the most part. We had daily chores too.

Over-supervision is a terrible way to parent. Young children really love being asked to do little jobs! We read reports of 18 year-olds being incapable of handling university “stress”, let alone being useful employees later, as they have been driven everywhere and have never been able to make independent decisions or to be allowed to be afraid and learn!

My dad, raised on a ranch had chores at a young age, and was asked to work at a bank at age 15 to help support his 7 siblings. He walked 8 miles daily to school for grade 1 on.

I think there were times when I was parenting 11-year-olds, in the 1980’s, that they were alone at home. One has to assess each of their children’s level of responsibility. Actually 15-16 year-olds require much more supervision and vetting of their peers. My home was a gathering place, partly to casually monitor what the adolescents were up to.

    2. I just banged the endpoints into Google Maps; at the age of eleven I walked a mile to school and back every weekday for two years. This charge is ridiculous.

      1. My elementary school didn’t offer bus service unless you were more than mile away or had to cross the highway. You were expected to walk or ride your bike. There was no line of parent’s cars dropping off kids unless there was a blizzard.

        1. Same rules in our small semi-rural school district, Bunny.

The kids riding the bus were envious of the kids who biked or walked because they didn’t have to wait on buses. By the time the buses were loaded and ready to leave, the ‘walkers’ were already home and outside playing.

      2. My situation was the same. When it snowed so much that the buses could not run we’d walk three or four miles to school. No such thing as “snow days.” And we loved it.

      3. I did the same thing with Google maps a fews years ago. As a kid, I recall walking about a mile to school only to discover as an adult that it was less than 300 metres. Had a good chuckle over that.

    3. When I was ten I went to the Grey Cup by myself and got a free ticket from a scalper to watch Angelo Mosca demolish Willie Fleming in 50 yard line seats .

    4. I was 9 in 1961 when our family lived in Ottawa for one year. Our mother was 39 and our father was 41. I was tasked with taking my younger brothers and sister (8, 6, 3) to Sunday School and church and was given a wrist watch and told not to return home until 12 noon. Mom and Dad would always be in a great mood and we would have pancakes and bacon.
It was only when I was 50 and telling this story to some neighbours when the husband began to laugh his head off. Finally, the penny dropped for me and I can tell you, I only eat waffles now, never pancakes!

  3. Pat Burns was the man of talk radio.
He started talk radio in Vancouver. CKNW got Webster to start a talk show to compete with Burns.
“Burns on the line go ahead”
The talker today don’t take live callers like Burns and Webster did.
Burns always said, any topic under the sun.
Very smart man with a great memory.

    1. “Poland scrambles its F-16s and are joined by allied aircraft to safeguard Poland’s and NATO’s borders against any potential Russian missiles” …

      https://x.com/visegrad24/status/1859476502535925836

Putin has said he’ll sit down with Ukraine to talk peace if President Donald J. Trump mediates.
Meanwhile, Biden (and NATO) have given the green light to bringing on more war… a war they can’t win with the next President at the reins who’ll cut off the funding.
When the funds to Ukraine stop, the war will be over and the discussions can begin.

      1. That happens every time russia launches a bigger attack, we’re in the second day of the wave of attacks, probably a few more nights, then russians will pause, take a month and half maybe two to build up stock and fire again. The frequency of those waves has decreased but individual waves continue and Ukrainian population is purposefully targeted in each wave.

The rest of your comment is predictable bullshit.

        1. If you are going to make a claim like purposeful targeting of civilians, please provide some source.

          1. I am clamming well know facts and you can’t find evidence of them then don’t waste my time and go fornicate yourself.

        2. Just curious – what’s the median age of your average Uke soldier up to now? Have we passed the half century mark yet?

          1. No stat at hand, age of Ukrainian troops has always been high as Ukrainians are trying to preserve young people as much as possible. No conscription for those 25 and younger. That is in the stark contrast to orks who draft everyone including disabled.

    1. You are surprised that RFK is an idiot? You know he is worried about chemtrails, right?

      1. Jessica
And chemtrails are a thing, as a whistle blower , who flies the chemtrail planes, has come forward .
You should try keeping up, OH, that might take some intelligence, which you don’t have.

        1. Yes, yes sure thing dumpster boy. And fire doesn’t melt steel. And Jewish space lasers something or other.

    2. Energy is important, but it’s the frequency that is critical. 5G is is near the low end of the xray band.

Too much xray exposure is not good, and neither is too much 5G exposure, which is nearly continuous for some people.

      1. 5G is nowhere near the x-ray band, you idiot.
5G is 10-1cm wavelength, microwaves. X-rays are nanometers and less.
A microwave uses the same frequency as 5G, as does WiFi routers, but wattage is no doubt a foreign concept for you.

      2. 5G uses the same frequencies that analog TV stations used to use at a much lower power level. Energy of photons from lowest to highest:

        Radio
        Microwave
        Infrared
        Visible light
        (Ionizing cutoff)
        Ultraviolet
        Xray
        Alpha/beta/gamma

Ionizing means it can strip electrons. In other words, potentially cancer causing.

        1. Alpha and beta are not photons/electromagnetic waves.
Alpha radiation is helium 4 nuclei, and beta radiation is electrons or positrons, with some neutrinos thrown in.
Analog TV was in the 50-800 megahertz region, 5G is 2.4+ gigahertz, not the same bands at all.
Cancer can probably be caused without ionizing radiation, it just takes longer.

      3. …also, the energy of a photon is directly proportional to its frequency, so talking energy and frequency are pretty much the same thing, moron.
Of course, I don’t expect you to know what “directly proportional” means.

    1. OOPS Hay matty.
ICC doesn’t like Israel taking back (it’s) land.

1949 Geneva Conventions and because Israel occupies at least parts of Palestine.

  4. Thanks to all who shared your memories of Pat Burns. By age 12, I was already engaged in politics in Vancouver, BC and Burns was a huge inspiration. His common sense views were superb! Imagine if Burns were alive today and commenting on the Trans insanity – Wow!

  5. Trump nominates Michigan congressman Pete Hoekstra as ambassador to Canada.

Hoekstra knows the auto industry, dairy and the Canadian border.

    1. I watched a panel debate on Gaetz last night on CNN (don’t ask me why). It was obvious the MSN hasn’t learned anything yet. But I imagine Gaetz realized what a distraction he has become.

“Henry Ford felt that Jewish Supremacy was such a danger to humanity, that he risked his reputation to publish a 1922 book to warn us about the “International Jew.”

Today we call them the “GLOBALISTS.”

    Here’s the synopsis…”

This has been in plain sight for over a hundred years.

    1. Its funny watching you catamite-loving muzztards appeal to the rule of law to justify your sickened pedo ways.
The irony is thick enough to cut with a butterkinfe.
