      1. Here is a thought. The plan was Pam Bondi all along. President Trump, Governer DeSantis, and Senator Rubio all agreed on this course of action. Appoint Matt Gaetz to AG. Flush out the weak RINO Senators personally by Gaetz. Wait for Senator Rubio to be appointed, and then appoint Matt Gaetz to replace Senator Rubio. Now all his “colleagues” that denied him the AG position have to work with him for the next two years till the 2026 election…..awkward.

James Ho of the 5th Circuit Ct of Appeals would be my choice. It would send a nice message to China by placing a Taiwanese immigrant into the top legal position in the country.     2. Good call, Orson, but I hope you don’t mind my saying that I kind of hoped you’d be wrong, but I suspected that the numbers (in the senate) weren’t going to add up, and that turned out to be the case.
      Now the speculators can analyze this 6 ways from Tuesday, but the fact of the matter is that Gaetz knew he wasn’t going to get confirmed, and sadly, but rightly, pulled out.
      The other sad reality is that this was a huge setback for Trump, and it does expose a chink in his armor. Now that there’s blood in the water, watch the sharks in the media come out for a feeding frenzy.
      (No, folks… I’m not turning on Trump. I’m lamenting.)
      As for Bondi, well, I’m hoping what MSNBC says about her is true, but remember… that’s MSNBC talking. If they’re saying they’re afraid of Bondi, what I’m hearing that they’re relieved it’s not going to be Gaetz!
      It really is a disappointment. I was hoping that Gaetz would get the gig.

  13. Well, D.C. was terrified of Gaetz. He resigned his seat in congress right away, so that there would be someone in the seat when Trump takes office. He withdrew his nomination when it looked like it would overshadow what Trump wanted to accomplish. I think they are playing rope a dope here. Now Trump has Gaetz in reserve. Trump has a deep group to pick from.

    1. Bondi has some baggage. We’ll see how that pans out. I can see Murkowski and Collins opposing as a matter of principle just because of her support of what used to be the norm in Arizona (all illegal immigrants must carry their paperwork with them at all times). Bondi was almost part of the prosecution down in Georgia that landed Sidney Powell and Rudi Giuliani. You could say that’s good company to be in, but it automatically gets opposition from the usual RINO suspects. Bondi, also, isn’t exactly the pristine politician free from corruption. That whole Trayvon Martin deal was a little bit too incestuous concerning the players…and then when the prosecution presented that bogus witness (eventually proven to be bogus) and the defense asked to question Crump (the attorney that dealt up the witness)…Bondi filed on behalf of the prosecution to disallow a proper defense for Zimmerman.

      Look, Bondi says a lot of right things. Is usually on the right side of an issue. But, perhaps it’s just me, but I don’t trust her. I still remember her being one of the biggest outspoken supporters of Mitt Romney, and letting that effect the way she applied her involvement in the Zimmerman case. I hope I’m wrong, but tbh, I don’t see her being approved by the Senate. It will be a close vote.

      Simply put, I just don’t see the Senate approving anyone that has the potential to upset the applecart.

Let’s just say there is plenty of suspect behavior that could be used to assure her “cooperation.” And, I’m not referring to cooperation with the Trump Administration.

One of the offenses Greenberg also pled guilty to was falsely accusing a school teacher of having sex with a minor to gain advantage in an election. I don’t believe one word of the accusation. Neither did authorities in Florida nor the FBI.

    There is another high profile sex trade case. Kamala Harris traded sexual favours to Willie Brown to obtain a couple different high paying appointments. How’s that investigation going? Not!

  31. I don’t think Trump is playing 4D chess so much as he’s running the silverware through the dishwasher to see what pieces come out spotty. He’s got a lot of potential talent. The more of them he can put into the spotlight now before real responsibility kicks in, the clearer a picture he’ll have of who’s reliable and who needs watching, and who can handle what.
