Ever wonder who is allowed into the White House Briefing Room? Here are some little known facts you may not be aware of.
The fact is, the legacy media have proven themselves to be illegitimate; merely apparatchiks of the Deep State / Democrats. What should happen, beginning on January 21, 2025 is that well known podcasters, or their designates, who have proven themselves to be honest brokers, should be given the first rows of seats. They shouldn’t be sycophants for either party. All legacy media can then sit behind them.

Ari Fleischer has some interesting thoughts on how to shake up the White House briefing room.

Currently the ‘major’ news outlets get the front row seats, and get to ask most of the questions. Ari’s suggestion? Move them to the back of the room, and replace them (see article)
I’m for it.
The ‘major’ news networks may have their FCC licenses revoked. At the very least, there should be hearings into revoking them.
Reps for Nick Freitas, Shawn Ryan, Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, and X should get seated in the front row. They are more likely to ask usefully questions instead of the Legacy Media’s gotchas
Add Tim Poole, Megyn Kelly and more. Two rows for legacy, two questions for legacy as time permits.
L – The legacy/dinosaur media should be seated at the back, in a sound proof area, and
provided crayons, a colouring book, milk and cookies. Okay, okay… add in a stuffed jaguar
emotional support toy.
“Add Tim Poole, Megyn Kelly and more. Two rows for legacy, two questions for legacy as time permits.”
I enthusiastically LOVE this idea. It would serve CNN, MSNBC, WaPo, the NYT and all the other Democrat propagandists out there right to be downgraded to the positions they so richly deserve. Let them scream about it if they like. Let them threaten legal action if they like. Won’t matter.
Oh please!
Back when it was still on, I loved “The West Wing” and there was an episode where the press secretary was upset with how a law was being handled about how many local TV stations any one company could own. Her response was to announce (temporarily) that the press room would have one seat for each conglomerate. Like one seat for News Corp who owns Fox, Wall Street Journal, New York Post, and others. Instead of giving each of them a seat. She goes back right away (actually says she s going back to her staff before she even says it, so its just a stunt.) Trump should do this for real. Then fill the rest of the seats with actually independent groups. Give Tim Pool a spot in the front row first day. Also, don’t give any of them a desk in the white house.
Restore the indoor swimming pool that was covered over to create the press room (it is still down there, they just covered it up). Move the briefing room into the office space were the press are now. Hold briefings once a day and make reporters come to the White House and then leave. If they need to disseminate more information, the can send out press releases by email, and post them on the White House website, or hold meetings on Skype.
Don’t shut them out completely, just don’t give a hostile media desk space in the WH.
I wish she’d investigate the Presidential Debate Commision. Time after time, the Republican Candidate ends up debating two or more Democrats, depending on how many “moderators” there are.
Why do they put up with it, year after year?
