1. Thanks, Kate. I knew a bit about the various Cray computers and also CDC. I had never read much of anything about Cray, the man, though. He was a remarkable fellow.

2. I recall hearing it mentioned in the 80’s when a company bought their competitor that the sale included a Cray supercomputer and thinking, “well they’re a serious bunch over there…”
