But the new data from Do No Harm reveals that the industry is larger than previously known, and it’s quickly growing despite state-level restrictions. The reported surgeries brought in more than $108 million during the five year period.

I think the real money is going to be in having a law office which specialises in suing the pants off the enablers of this, the hospitals / clinics and Dr’s who did the actual deed. Hopefully there are a few school districts and school boards / teachers who can be sued as well, perhaps even dip into their pension funds to pay for this.
Oh it’s not going to payoff for a few more years, but by then they’ll be so many more plaintiffs to choose from.

juries of normal people already opposed to sex change procedures for distraught adolescents – check
defendants, both individual and institutional with very deep pockets – check
huge numbers of tort attorneys in the US always on the lookout for a big score – check
furious parents who have watched their children being preyed upon – check
I am sure there is a great deal of pressure and leverage being applied to stifle lawsuits and there will probably be shield laws passed to protect the medical establishment, but those laws will eventually be struck down.
At some point, some prestigious medical institution (Mayo Clinic, John Hopkins, Harvard Med) is going to either settle out of court or get slammed for hundreds of millions in damages and the legal floodgates will open. The public discussion of “gender affirming care” will immediately reverse to near universal condemnation and every current supporter will claim they were always against it.
Recently on CBC’s ‘The Nature of Things’, they presented a case that all this stuff that common sense people view as gender baloney is actually normal for humans and animals. No surprise.
