Hmmm. Nothing happens by accident… we must ask ourselves why there is a video of this allowed to surface… who are the puppet masters behind the curtain??

It incenses Republicans, who care about this kind of thing, but not Democrats. So it doesn’t cost the ticket any support and it distracts their enemies from issues which might be more damaging. Think controlled release.

Still it’s mind boggling that this negative was overlooked if Walz was supposed to checkmate Vance’s service record.
Was Walz vetted, at all, OR is it possible that the most viable candidates bailed.

I’m no fan of Walz but to me this is the equivalent of embellishing your resume. I can understand why soldiers who served and risked their lives in Afghanistan are righteously pissed at him, but what I can’t understand is why, when confronted with this exaggeration, he didn’t update his bio to say ‘served in supporting Operation Enduring Freedom while stationed in Italy’. This is far from the worst thing on Tim Walz’s record.

The Democrats in Minnesota didn’t care if he lied / embellished regarding serving in Afghanistan. The Democrats in the rest of the USA likely don’t either because they’re facing President Donald J. Trump who may in his first days of holding office again, upset their entire gravy cart.
So while another commenter said, “it gets worse before it gets worse” and the Democrats seem to have very little interest in arguing that Harris / Walz ticket wasn’t actually voted for in any primaries, these people are Democrats and any of their past’s aren’t going to make a difference.
It’s a distraction, the Republicans may point at this and say “Walz is wrong for doing this” … the lack of policy outlines on the Harris election literature is far worse, and Harris stumbling on words.
I think this is important just to short circuit Dem efforts to establish Walz’ image as a folksy, likable, Midwestern guy, thereby putting a less threatening face on their totalitarianism than Harris’ nails on the chalkboard screeching.
Once his image as just another crazy leftist whose word can’t be trusted is established, the evidence against him on more important subjects can better take hold.
