I think he meant the “big cheese”. “Head cheese” is a bit different.
Isn’t Mr. Tremblay curious? How can he evaluate the effectiveness of the program without knowing its impact on emissions. This is the thing about climate change zealots: they totally ignore important details.
Why would Mr. Tremblay be curious about the results of this or any other program? Results are not required, just good intentions, that can be virtue signalled.
Mr. Tremblay knows exactly how many degrees the $8B will help avoid.
And certain Poilievre should let the fascists know that he will cancel the state/industrial complex set up as soon as conservatives assume the office of government.
Just kidding. Poilievre would not do that.

For most of these programs there is no environmental benefit. They were created first and foremost to distribute government funding to favoured organizations and corporations. This isn’t news. Mark Knofler called it more than 30 years ago, “Money for nothing and your chicks for free.”

As with all liberal solutions, throw money at the problem. If that doesn’t work, throw more money. Repeat as often as possible.
THe government relies on the IPCC. “For every 1000 GtCO2 emitted by human activity, global surface temperature rises by 0.45°C.”
Translated to more commonly used metrics, this 0.00000045°C temperature impact per megatonne (Mt) CO₂ emitted.
Canada’s TOTAL emissions in 2022 were 548 Mt. This means that we warmed the globe by 0.000247°C or 1°C in 4055 years.
Imagine just how trivial, if any, the benefits will be from the money spent. No “bandg for the buck,” not even a whimper.
Tremblay is just another Franco diversity promotion from Quebec. The senior civil service is in bed with the Liberals. We need a purge.
I hate to poo poo on this picture of what might be way worse, and probably is.
What I like to know, is how many people and their kids, latched on to netflix and disney + , the nice weather, keeping up with their neighbors the drones, keeping that smile on the little darlings no matter what, and all the other distractions that under the surface don’t matter to a functioning steadfast society , even really know or care?
That my friends is the real sad deal and the people that can fool themselves win right up until the bitter end.
There is clarity to realizing what’s in most peoples hearts and souls that read this .
The strength we feel as individuals after all we have been through in our lives good or bad, the ragged toughness of the hard moments , and the honesty in the softest, happiest ones, the smiles, the stories, corrections over anxiety to the point of temporary trauma as kids 🙂 yet here we are feeling so free and alive.
Yet we are watching a society so in danger of drifting away, never to be remembered, because it was just to HARD.
And yes the bad guys that could always cheat to win are about to.
