The Libranos: It’s Good To Be McKinsey

Dan Knight;

In a stunning display of government largesse, Auditor General Karen Hogan dropped a bombshell at Meeting No. 128 of the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates. Her report pulled back the curtain on a festering pit of crony capitalism under the Trudeau administration. Brace yourselves, folks, because what you’re about to hear is jaw-dropping.

Since 2015, contracts with the consulting firm McKinsey have skyrocketed to an eye-popping $191 million. Let that sink in for a moment. That’s a meteoric rise from a measly one million dollars in the years prior under Harper. So, what changed? Did McKinsey suddenly become a hundred times more competent, or does it have to do with whose in power?

Hogan’s report doesn’t dance around the issue. Oh no, it dives headfirst into the cesspool of corruption swirling around Trudeau’s inner circle. A staggering 70% of contracts with McKinsey were handed out non-competitively, totaling a mind-boggling $118 million. And if that wasn’t enough to make your blood boil, get this: almost half of these contracts lacked the necessary documentation to justify their existence. That’s right, folks, your tax dollars are being thrown around like confetti at a Liberal fundraiser, with little to no accountability.

But wait, it gets worse. Hogan’s audit uncovered a disturbing pattern of government departments using Crown corporations as their personal piggy banks to avoid pesky things like competitive procurement requirements. It’s crony capitalism 101, folks, and Trudeau’s minions are playing the game with gusto.

Shut up and pay your capital gains tax.

  1. Do you all think PP will have the stones to launch forensic audits of everything the Liberals touched? To criminally investigate and prosecute them where and as necessary? Because if he did, that would be my main reason to vote for him. That, and exposing the directives behind the violations of rights during the plandemic.

    Somehow I think I’ll be kept waiting…

    1. Even if he did, who in our corrupted RCMP would do anything with the information? Pierre would be arrested himself for hurting the feelings of the crooks.

    2. Do you all think PP will have the stones to launch forensic audits of everything the Liberals touched?

It would be simpler & far more expedient to merely jail the lot of ’em, with apologies to the one or two who may be genuinely innocent.

    3. The CPC will never do that because it would allow the Libs to do the same thing to them when they get back in power.

      1. I’d take that risk in a heartbeat.

Bev Oda’s glass of oj, or Mike Duffy’s $90k versus corruption, graft, fraud and untold millions stolen and country in ruins. All done consciously and deliberately.

Full exposure. I want to see perp walks for all they’ve done.

    4. the RCMP should have started investigations years ago, but since they are Trudeau’s lapdog, they look the other way

  2. They are called “Tax and Spend” Liberals (and NDP) for a reason. Just another day of corruption and graft in Bananada.

  3. McKinsey supplying the condescending crack that the Honourable Stumpy Tweaking Garden Gnome uses would explain most of the increase…

    1. Andrew Coyne: “Someone should do something about this. But not until I have my senate seat.”

    1. Think of it not as a crime, but as an alternative lifestyle.

  4. “mind-boggling $118 million. And if that wasn’t enough to make your blood boil, get this: almost half of these contracts lacked the necessary documentation to justify their existence”

But but but…. $16 orange juice.

  5. No different than when Nenshi the Hutt gave monster contracts to the far-left fake environmental group the Pembina Institute when he was (s)elected mayor of Calgary.

From then, they could afford to hire more than one actual environmental student to at least appear to be an environmental concern.

  6. It’s too late. Both our nations will be radically raising the Capital Gains tax. Why? Because the Socialist Left have successfully demonized the tax as being “lower than your income tax” … therefore, “Billionaire FAT CATS like Warren Buffet pay a lower tax rate than his Secretary”.

The Socialist Left sloganeered better than the rest of the SANE world who understands that Warren Buffet pays $millions upon millions MORE in taxes than his secretary … but too late. The politics of envy SELLS. Even though the increased capital gains tax won’t help ANYONE other than government bureaucrats … even though the increased tax won’t help a single homeless camper … we will start paying it.

Our Western Nations are doomed. Sorry, but we’re all comrades now. You will own nothing, because the government will TAKE it … and you’ll be happy, or else …. be miserable in the Gulag.

    1. The Capital Gains tax is nothing more than government attacking the means of growth, and believing they can do a better job spending that money on more growth.

      1. Not entirely. It’s a tax on wealth. It’s a tax on being a prudent and wise investor (and having a job that pays well-enough to allow for investment). It’s a tax on … “privilege”. It’s a tax on being intelligent and wise, not wasteful. It’s purely an ENVY tax

      2. And of course the tax is levied on the nominal, not the real gain which is arrived at by accounting for the loss of purchasing power. Mind you, so is interest income.

  7. I think we have to stop thinking of the Trudeau Liberal-NDP coalition as a government. It’s a money-making alliance of personal and corporate interests dividing up taxpayer money without even a fig leaf of there being any value for Canadian citizens. At least 11 of these politicians in government are collaborating with foreign countries. Yet, apparently, none of these actions are a crime under Canadian law.

At what point does this government and the Canadian parliamentary system no longer have democratic legitimacy?

      1. Yep, the year Canadians were saddled with the worst constitution in the free world.*

*well, tied with the European Union, I suppose.

  8. “The stage is set for a monumental showdown that could finally bring Trudeau and his cronies to justice for their actions. This is about more than just contracts and dollars—it’s about the very soul of our nation. Canadians deserve a government that upholds the highest standards of integrity and transparency, not one that constantly betrays public trust.”

Not sure what he is smoking here, but Canadians are getting exactly what they voted for, when they voted Liberal repeatedly. As long as government is unconstrained in it’s claimed responsibilities, nothing will change, and it doesn’t matter who is in power.

  9. I though “largesse” had something to do with Cynthia Freeland? “That skirt shows off her largesse.”
