D-Day Revisited

I know that the D-Day Anniversary was three days ago but only today was I able to listen to this. It’s a most excellent discussion between an historian and a former UK military officer. Well worth a watch!

  1. Lovat had asked his personal piper, Bill Millin, to pipe his men ashore. Private Millin pointed out that this would be in breach of War Office regulations. “That’s the English War Office, Bill,” said Lovat. “We’re Scotsmen.” And so Millin strolled up and down the sand amid the gunfire playing “Hieland Laddie” and “The Road to the Isles” and other highland favorites. The Germans are not big bagpipe fans and I doubt it added to their enjoyment of the day.

    Also from Steyn

  2. There will never be another D-Day. The spirit, culture and loyalty to National sovereignty worthy of preservation and protection has been and continues to be eroded and propagandized against by the globalist elite. Nationalism, patriotism, heritage and common belief systems among people that has preserved populations across the world for thousands of years is now a dirty, filthy maligned characterization of free people.

Considered a failed ideology, national pride has been suborned through the cult of wokeness promoted by globalism and readily devoured low I.Q. sheeple who perceive themselves as victims of a national state gone awry; lending credence to the notion that the defense and preservation of the nation state is innocuous and those of military age avoid prompted by peer pressure; the apps on their smart phone instruct they otherwise and they obediently follow and swallow the predigested right-think.

    Isn’t that just precious….

    1. There will never be another D-Day, And, that ought to be a good thing. Except that we might need one. Then what?
