Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
I’d have loved to have posted this article on farcebook, but can’t due to the Trudeau/Zuckerberg Pact which prohibits any news.
Plimer should be mandatory reading in every school.
One voice of reason against a multi-trillion dollar institutional capture. Few, if any “scientists” would get funding, tenure, employment, publishing, etc. with such rational and informed views. Millions of “scientists”, media parrots. politicians, rent seekers, teachers, professors, “professionals”, and bureaucrats would have to seek alternative employment if the economy destroying official narrative grift was not provided by the captured and bankrupt welfare, warfare states.
Great article, and well worth the short time to read, reality and logic does still exist in some places!
Everyone knows it’s ridiculous

Wile E. Coyote.
Super Genius.
What the government doesn’t tell you but you can check for yourself..
According to the IPCC’s latest comprehensive report: “For every 1000 GtCO2 emitted by human activity, global surface temperature rises by 0.45°C. See Page 19, Section B.5.2. This is equivalent to 0.00000045°C / megatonne.
https://www.ipcc.ch/report/ar6/syr/downloads/report/IPCC_AR6_SYR_SPM.pdf
Canada’s total emissions in 2022 were 548 megatonnes. So here’s the math:
0.00000045°C / megatonne x 548 megatonnes = 0.0002466°C / year
This is equivalent to 1°C per 4055 years.
What about the carbon tax?
Originally the Government told us that it would reduce emissions by 90 megatonnes by 2022. Just for fun, let’s assume that happened. If it did, Canada deferred global warming by 1°C in 24,691 years.
You can see why they hide the facts from you. They can virtue signal about apparently large reductions in megatonnes while not telling you about the negligible real impacts on the climate. The press cheers them on!
Agreed to all of that. Just two things to note:
1. You referenced the IPCC AR6 report. Quite right, except the problem is that the media neither reads nor is capable of understanding what is written by the IPCC. The media finds it easy to pontificate about something it doesn’t understand.
2. You indicate quite rightly the tiny warming contribution of CO2. However, the response of CO2 in atmosphere is logarithmic. This means that each additional increment of CO2 in atmosphere has less warming effect than the previous increment. Earth’s atmosphere naturally trends towards a median value from which it cannot be dislodged. Logarithmic response is what the IPCC is actually concealing from the media and the public.
The main point here is NOT what the “right ” answer is. The effect of CO2 on climate is both highly uncertain and controversial.
What I’m saying is that EVEN IF one accepts the governments own figures, the impact of their programs is trivial.
CO2 is not a climate driver. What a freaking waste of time.
Climate change science fiction pays a lot better and is a lot easier than actual science.
Communists can use it to seize the means of production, authoritarian politicians of all stripes can use it to control people by eliminating human rights and freedoms.
Eventually they will run out of other people’s money, but they will still get that priceless feeling of self-righteousness regardless of how poor you become.
Someone should ask the “proponents” of “global boiling” if they would prefer the oxygen in the atmosphere to be below it’s boiling point.
“Will be” upset? Upset is her normal. Poor, scowling wee creature.
The term climate scientist makes me boil.
I don’t need one of those whores to tell me the sun controls the climate.
I also don’t need anyone else to tell me about variations from this, that or the other thing.
If you think it’s ocean currents or volcano farts, I don’t care.
Fckoff.
There is one boss and that’s the sun.
Don’t like it?
Shake your fist at it.
Then fckoff.
Been saying it for some time now.
It’s the sun, son.
Just say no to solar warming denial.
How about these solar storms we have been having this year?
Another northern lights show? That giant sunspot is back and it’s flaring
I wonder how much warming occurs from the incoming energy that is able to light up the entire sky. Compared to the man-made “carbon emissions” .
They can lick my borealis.

From the article…
China imports most of its coal from Indonesia and Plimer’s home country Australia. “We have about a dozen power stations and there’s huge pressure to close them down. China has 12,200 coal-fired power stations and is building two power stations a week. India is doing the same sort of growth,” Plimer says. “If coal was so bad, we wouldn’t export coal, which happens to be our biggest export at present. We would go broke trying to save the world,” he adds.
This is what bugs me. Exporting coal to China while shutting down coal-fired generating stations at home. Makes no sense. America exports coal to Canada which exports it to China and in the meantime both America and China shut down coal-fired generating stations.
