I think it already has. Any conviction is already guaranteed to be overturned on appeal, there have been so many egregious errors. In some ways an acquittal is the best outcome now for the Democrats…that’s how weak their case was, and how far they had to bend and twist (and yes, even *break*) the law to even get to this point.
