  1. It is rather remarkable that president of the US, that runs country of some 380 million people with problems of governing is utterly wasting time with perceived phobias.
    It is somewhat surreal.
Though the world is moving from reality at a fast pace.
The politicians, the lowest on the scale of decency bar none.
The politicians, for fear of doing something important for the country, divert the plebeians attention with, what you can prosaically call bullshit.
The tragedy is that there is nobody to stop them.
The one guy that would mess it up is called all the bad things that the feeble minds of media cartel can come up with, the wanna be serious prosecutors, by proxy, using ‘the law’, yeah right, to demolish the guy.
Bearing in mind that nobody is holy, the guy’s morals are pretty much current with the rest of the low life politicians.

  2. The public has been thoroughly conned on the “climate emergency” issues by the government’s refusal to publish the facts and measuring “success” in meaningless tonnes of CO2, rather than degrees.

Canada’s initial carbon tax was forecast to reduce emissions by 90 Mt in 2022. What was the impact on temperature?

If the target was actually achieved, global warming was deferred by 0.000041°C or 1°C per 24691 years. This is what the endless squabbles are about! Canada’s total emissions impact global temperature by 1°C in 4055 years.

  3. If you want to see the actual impact of CO2 on temperasture, look here:

    https://www.ipcc.ch/report/ar6/syr/downloads/report/IPCC_AR6_SYR_SPM.pdf

“For every 1000 GtCO2 emitted by human activity, global surface temperature rises by 0.45°C (best estimate, with a likely range from 0.27°C to 0.63°C).”

Translated to more commonly used metrics, this is a very broad “likely” range of 0.00000027°C to 0.00000063°C temperature impact per megatonne (Mt) CO₂ emitted. The science is not settled.

Canada’s total emissions in 2022 were 548 Mt. This means that we warmed the globe by somewhere between 0.000148°C to 0.000345°C, or 1°C per 2897 to 6759 years. IPCC’s “best estimate” (0.00000045°C) gives Canada’s annual impact at 0.000247°C or 1°C in 4055 years.

Do you believe the IPCC or Greta Thunberg? The Toronto Star is with Greta!

    1. PJ, that’s only if the claimed warming effect of CO2 is factual, which evidence says it isn’t.

  4. The Star prefers to get their scientific information from High school drop outs, and crisis actors.

  5. “Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte elected Chief Donald Maracle knows the realities of residential schools. He said his grandfather was abused while attending one and his great aunt died there. “You can’t sanitize history,” said Maracle,…”

You certainly can’t. Let’s talk about the Iroquoi nation’s genocide of other native nations and the 100 years of war and torture they delivered to the citizens of New France.

  6. If a plane had just run over one of the protesters glued to the runway in Munich (it’s unlikely it would have hit them all) then they probably wouldn’t do it again.

    1. Came here to say that, happy to read someone else was thinking sanely like me. Don’t unglue them, let them get run over or otherwise perish in the weather. If they’re dumb enough to glue themselves to a runway then they deserve nothing less than a swift (or slow) end.
