New evidence challenges the Pentagon’s account of a horrific attack as the US withdrew from Afghanistan
The incident was a gruesome coda to America’s longest war, leaving dead 13 United States military service members and about 170 Afghans who were desperately seeking US help to flee the Taliban takeover of Kabul. For two years, the US military has insisted that the loss of life was caused by a single explosion, and that troops who reported coming under fire and returning it were likely confused in the chaotic aftermath, some suffering from the effects of blast concussion.
But video captured by a Marine’s GoPro camera that has not been seen publicly in full before shows there was far more gunfire than the Pentagon has ever admitted. A dozen US military personnel, who were on the scene and spoke to CNN anonymously for fear of reprisals, have described the gunfire in detail. One told CNN he heard the first large burst of shooting come from where US Marines were standing, near the blast site. “It wasn’t onesies and twosies,” the Marine said. “It was a mass volume of gunfire.”
The ‘official version’ is usually incorrect or rarely accurate.
It’s really weird to be able to watch many movies that are have been more accurate to what you think you’re actually going to get into when nobody really thinks of mistakes or incorrect information being used for these decisions made and incorporated to you lan.
Why now?
One might suspect that they are putting this out now to blunt the inevitable attack ads against biden later in the year.

So who is shooting at whom? Is this really a big deal?
Doesn’t matter. Reason being, the Pentagon said it was a bomb, and now we know they lied.
As to it being a big deal, The Pentagon lying about an incident that killed 13 soldiers and 170 civilians? -And- withholding evidence? Yeah. I’d say that’s a pretty big deal.
I thought there was a suicide bomb initially. After that there was shooting for some reason. They panicked?

This was the biggest military clusterfuck since Korea. And one of the biggest foreign policy disaster. I don’t mean just the chaos at the airport. Pictures of people falling off C-17 should replace that famous picture of the Huey taking off from Saigon as a symbol of US defeat. They followed this up by demonstrating their “over the horizon” capability by droning a bunch of innocents. And the media let Joe skate. Nobody has been held to account. A Marine sniper had the bomber in his sights and could not get clearance to fire. He witnesses hundreds being killed but they were told to do nothing. “Later that day, the explosion came. Vargas-Andrews lost an arm and a leg as well as internal organs. He has had 44 surgeries to date.” You should see what this guy looks like today.

What difference at this point does it make?
I’d wager the average American can’t even remember what happened in Afghanistan … if they ever knew anything about it in the first place.
