Weirdly, the Federal Reserve Bank lies outside of government control, except for its check clearing and transferring functions. It has always been a pain in the butt for the federal government branches, who wish they could control it, but they can’t, and so the gov has to deal with this beast it can’t control setting interest rates and money supply.
It leans left, but not far left.
They can control it if they wish.
Like every other institution, it’s been captured by the left. There’s virtually nothing they don’t control.
I think if it was a good hard crap, it’s going to be less painful than everyone dumping the US Treasury in world trade.
