National Post: Minister Dominic LeBlanc unveiled a suite of changes to the Elections Act on Wednesday, including expanded days for advance voting and an easier process for mail-in ballots, but it would also move the current proposed fixed election day from Oct. 20 to Oct. 27, 2025. […] The one-week delay has a significant impact on MP pensions, however.
The one-week delay is described as benefiting “primarily Conservatives” – who are on track for re-election so that’s moot. It’s primarily the defeated Liberals and NDP” who will leave with their cheques in hand.

Liberals:
Genetically Predetermined to being Entitled to their Entitlements.

Entitled to their Entitlements
A line forever associated with the LPC.
in days past, when certain phrases, sayings and words were used,
it was called looting of the treasury.
Canaduh has a political party noted for it.
delusional supporters of that party are like those that claim to have ‘won big’ at bingo hall or casino when they go home with $1500 more.
ignoring aaaaall those other times their rent money disappeared.
allow me as generalization. lm inclined to beleive that those on the personal independence (in a free society that fosters and supports the entrepreneur) side of the fence, KNOW money aint free and its education and work work work afterward that clinches it.
as such, well, easy to spot the looters.
If you weren’t already jaded…
Singh was elected in a by-election so he didn’t need the week.
Pays to be a clapping seal for the PM.
Canadian taxpayers are the Trudeau Liberal-NDP government’s personal ATM machines. Remember that this is the same government that denied EI benefits to workers who were fired for refusing the covid19 vaccines.
“They’ll get it all from you sooner or later ’cause they own this f**kin’ place. It’s a big club and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table is tilted, folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. Good, honest, hard-working people: white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on.”

The obvious answer would require that these changes not come into effect until after the next election to allow the public to vote on it.
Something in the back of my mind says that something this was tired somewhere else. Those courts voided the changes for the current gov’t stating the changes would come into effect for the next gov’t.
This is further more proof that Canada cannot survive. The golden triangle has killed the goose that laid the golden egg.
I know that the west will have problems BUT the only way it can survive is to completely break away from the degenerate money pit.
GO WEXIT
At this point the government has moved so far from the people that there may be a benefit for a Liberal MP to pull the plug then say they are Liberals, but not those Liberals in the upcoming election.
I am not sure what a pension is worth, but perhaps it is enough prevent such floor crossing.
Since even paid polls say that ShinyPony stands no chance, why not ramp up the Fraud part? Plus add for some good measure the 1week delay to appeal to Jagmeet thus making sure it will go through Parliament no pb.
This is what I expect them to do. Dominion voting machines make this very convenient, and our elections run on Dominion voting machines. “Oh dear me, all those marked paper ballots seem to have disappeared. We must rely on the electronic records.”
Also, vote by mail? Early voting? Fraud. Straight up.
Election interference to benefit the ruling elites, no wonder China was successful via influence. How can they vote for this when they are in conflict of interest via them benefiting from election interference?
As neither the article or the link had them, the actual numbers. There have been some byelections since; which would add to these, but of course the new members elected in byelections would not be impacted by Trudeau’s bribe here:
2019 election – Number of rookie MPs by party
Party/percentage rookies/no of Seats
CON (31.4% rookies) 38
LIB (15.3% rookies) 24
BQ (65.6% rookies) 21
NDP (29.2% rookies) 7
GRN (33.3% rookies) 1
proposed voting law changes will make cheating that much easier, although the Canadian Uniparty may choose Pollieve this time anyways.
There you have it, another platform that the turd campaigned on, realized: election reform, but not the good kind.
I dare say you will not find many or any conservatives stuffing ballot boxes, dropping off boxes of absentee/mail in ballots, voting early and often, etc.
The standard procedure right now for the Trudeau Liberal-NDP government is to enact legislation that benefits them and creates hardships for us.
April 1 – pay raises for them – more carbon taxes for us.
Elections date changes – lifetime pensions for them – hands the bill to us
Online Harms bill – more jobs for liberal voting public employees – censorship, fines and possible jail times for us
ArriveCAN – fraud, corruption and money laundering for them and their friends – increased expenss and less freedom for us
It goes on and on. The Trudeau Liberal-NDP government has adopted the “to the victory goes the spoils” system of governance that is the hallmark of authoritarian banana republics.
Also scheduled for April 1: The escalator tax on alcohol.
For the 2nd year in a row, Hag Freeland capped the escalator tax on wine and beer at 2% because it would have been 4.7% this coming month because its tied to inflation.
I’m sure liberals would point to “universal” federal social programs but those have not fared well. Daycares are closing and any available spots are going to the well connected. Dentists aren’t keen on the dental plan. Pharamacare consists of two types of prescriptions, contraception and diabetes, and other restrictions. Heat pump program hasn’t caught on at all. CEBA loan paybacks are causing bankruptcy. Government healthcare is an absolute disaster. MAID program is veering to cruelty. Safe supply is being diverted. Etc, etc.
“I am from the government and I’m here to help” are still the scariest words in the English language.
The new dine and dash.
The liberal corruption is obvious, and they no longer give a rats that we see it. The turd is paying off his loyal team, cuz he knows his Goose is not just cooked, but completely burned to a crisp!
As an aside, has anyone noticed there are a couple of US republicans that are “resigning early”? Methinks they have been either bribed or blackmailed to reduce the majority the republicans have in Congress!
Hmmmm!
This proposed election change is nothing more than setting us up for huge cheat … similar to what happened to trump in the 2020 stolen election. Thousands of fake ballots and double or triple voting at different polls.
Watch for it … It’s coming.
The little shit Trudeau will hang in to the bitter end whlst continuing to destroy Canada at the request of the WEF and to complete the job his communist father(s) both Pierre and Fidel would love to see.
Revolution NOW!
Yeah “election reform” is simply code for election cheating.
I predict another lib / ndp coalition. the libs and ndp will categorize pp as anti abortion, Trump North. I have met many people from TO who do not like trudeau but will never vote conservative.
The stupid is strong in Ontario. I had to move west to escape. Never going back.
The extreme left are single issue voters: free abortion for Liberals and eat the rich for NDP.
Jaymo -Met the same from BC.
A last second amendment to defund the CBC legislation would cut all government employees pay to minimum wage and eliminate their pension.
Oh look a squirrel!
Don’t focus on the pensions. They always get their entitlements.
Focus on the extra advanced polling and especially the mail in ballots. That’s where the fraud occurs.
“We’re stealing your money and rigging the election.”
Libs/Dippers
Nothing says the election couldn’t be a week sooner, and the Conservatives should propose it as an amendment at first reading.
Make it two weeks earlier.
One week earlier is Thanksgiving.
I believe that the existing fixed date election law requires an election on or before the four year anniversary. Is it possible for somegroup like the Taxpayer’s Coalition to challenge this law in court? Best scenario is that if a court declared it invalid the government could appeal but our glacial legal industry would run out the clock on these clowns. As for having the election on Thanksgiving – Election night will be the only thanksgiving I need.
Nineteen months and counting.
