2. I always admired Neil for never selling his music for advertising, and for how prolific a songwriter he was/is … but his pulling out of Spotify stunt … sorry … that’s not the same as artistic purity … it’s cancel culture writ large.

      I didn’t know that! I knew guys from the Winnipeg music scene in the early 1960’s. A lot of them didn’t have much use for Neil Young as he was the rich kid who could afford the best guitars and amps while everyone else had to start on cheapies.
      I was never a fan of his music and his nasal whiny voice, but began to detest the guy when he started in against then oil sands with James Cameron and the big titted blond whose name escapes me at the moment.
