  1. So the same guy that issued the grovelling apology to China in Mandarin decided to expose his shortcomings on stage.

  2. is this another jump the shark?
my nickname ‘hollyweird’ just took on a literal meaning.
ps didnt watch a SINGLE offering of any nominees or even wannabes past year.
my movie viewing is limited to the otherwise freebie source aka youtube.
(l did used to bootleg them but the pirate site shut down when citoyens started to face $100,000 fines for such)

  3. ps the one bright spot l saw when l picked up the paper today (totally fergot the awards were televised last nite) one Robert Downey Jr got a statue for best supporting and promptly eluded to his past drug induced difficulties.
he’s the poster boy for bearing down and getting past the addiction and achieving great personal success, irrespective of the fact for him it happened in that place.

l recollect on one occasion scooping an award he loudly and unabashedly gave full credit for the turnaround to his wife who was in the audience.
    bravo Robert, bravo.

  4. Only chance I would have watched this is if Aaron Rodgers was in the audience and there’s a chance he jumps up and pulls a Will Smith on that d-bag Kimmel’s fat melon.

  5. The only movie I saw was Oppenheimer. It was slow and boring. A little too friendly to communists. Two stars, maybe. Better off just reading about it. If that’s the best Hollywood can do, they’re doomed.

    1. But, but, but … it was STAR-studded! It even had Matt Damon in it!

No … I don’t go to Hollywood for my revisionist Histories … I go directly to BLM for that … or to some FN “story-telling” about paleface atrocities

    2. I thought it was decent. Interesting story, good acting, interesting issues — not the usual Hollywood
      schlock.

    3. Oppenheimer, three hours of my life I will never get back. Glad Downey Jr won best supporting actor, he was really good.

  6. Didn’t know it was on, haven’t seen any of the movies and haven’t watched the Oscars for so long I don’t remember. I think in the early 90’s when Billy Crystal was hosting.
