    1. No doubt the stranded Canadians are overwhelmingly Haitians who made it to Canada at one point, almost certainly to Montreal, picked up Canadian citizenship while there and returned to Haiti. They would not have been required to renounce their Haitian citizenship when they became Canadian citizens so they would be citizens of both countries. The media will never mention this, however. They are Canadians in danger! They must be brought to Canada at Canadian taxpayer expense!
