Is there a difference the gov’t of the land can outline which would clearly indicate the difference between being a Sikh and simply declaring “we’re all Sikh” any more than they’ve decided some people are women and other’s are “women” ? Seriously, what’s a court of any province to do? they’re going to decide who is a real Sikh and who is merely saying they’re a Sikh? Based on what? the courts of Canada have insider knowledge of who are the real Sikhs? the tier 2 Canadian courts have a written standard to decide who is a “real Sikh” and who merely states they’re a “real Sikh”
