    1. They should just tell us that Chief FILTHY Feather Waver will be conducting your Spinal Surgery today, the Regular Spinal Surgeon is off denouncing his Whiteness at a Government forced Retreat.

You’ll be fine. We are all equal.
      Racist

  1. In the interest of brevity, why don’t they just say “No white males allowed”. I wonder if the successful hire will put “Diversity hire” on their resume?

    1. That kind of double-speak is needed in the States because openly admitting that hetero white males need not apply is against the law. In Canada, on the other hand, anti-white racism is actually written into our Constitution and Charter. Admitting it is another matter though.

    1. Section 15(2) of the Canadian Constitution allows for Racism in programs, if those programs are giving benefits to groups that some member of that group at some point in the past suffered from discrimination (neither the Irish, Jews, or Papists are included in these groups).

    2. No it’s not. Section 15(2) of the “Charter of Rights” allows it. One could argue that it even demands it.

    3. It would only be illegal if, I as white man hiring a skilled person advertised for a white non female skilled person.
In my career I had to hire many people. The game had been started sometime ago. I figured it out very quickly. Resumes were accepted at our reception desk and only I got to see and review them. Applicants were told that only those who were accepted would be contacted. A brief phone interview, then an in person interview, I would hire and all others were simply informed that the position had been filled. No discussions.

  2. I notice the word “qualified” is not present between ….open to & “people with……….
Oh, they will find someone, just don’t think I would want to be the recipient of any treatment they develop.

    1. Don’t worry about anything they develop, won’t make it off the white paper presented.
Diversity hire does not mean anything more than “Look at us!”.

      1. Found this on X

        “Diversity isn’t your strength.

It lowers your Wages, Marginalises your Culture, Increases your Crime, fills your Hospitals, occupies your housing, ruins your schools, consumes your taxes, tightens your laws, restricts your freedoms, endangers your children and always calls YOU a Racist.”

I cannot disagree with ANY part of this.

  3. Wearing “corrective lenses” is not considered a disability because the eyesight once corrected is generally considered better than non corrected eyesight.

All that’s required, is to remove your corrective eyewear, and squint.
Then you have a visual impairment, and you’re disabled.
You’re only not disabled if you’ve corrected the eyesight.
Also, I’m just a bit hearing impaired as well, but I don’t care about that very much.

*Not making fun of spinal cord rehabilitation, I think it would be a great field to work in.

    1. .

There’s nothing like a fat squaw beating a drum to repair your spinal cord.
Imagine the world without the ingenuity, creativeness, tenacity and generosity of white people.
Corn Pop truly will be in charge. The ghosts of Joe Biden and ‘Bathhouse’ Barry will be the permanent imaginary leaders of what was once America. Similar to God and Jesus being the permanent imaginary leaders of the entire universe.

Sorry, but when my race get shat upon, I get angry.

      .

  4. They lost me at “racialized”…yet another meaningless, woke liberal buzzword that I will refuse to use.

  5. How does one find out who wrote the “requirements” for the position and who certified the “requirements”?
That bureaucrat or office should be destroyed.

  6. If I’m a male I’m already “minoritized”. How can I become “racialized”? Do I get an Acme racializer? Can I do it online and get e-raced? Can I self-identify as a particular race? If I can change gender just by wishing it, surely I can change race just by wishing it/self-identifying. My ancestors came from Africa (same as every human being on the planet by the way). What if I get an annual pass to Fabutan? I wear glasses and sometimes hearing aids — disabled for sure. Qualifications to provide any useful output — meh. What’s that song Pete Seeger was so fond of singing? Oh, yeah — “No Irish Need Apply”.

  7. A generally good method of changing your race or becoming ‘racialized’ us to have half of your brain removed and quit your job.”

    Hope that helps.

  8. On DEI (now with an anacronym for, and in everyone’s speeches, for diversity, equity and inclusion….

So far, I have not found any serious research that demonstrates that “diversity” is actually an effective business strategy, nor particularly important for our country. Most of the “effectiveness” literature is anecdotal, except for women being introduced into the workforce, and the effects are mixed, with respect to results. Diversity of good ideas and effort can come from all meritorios sources. Diversity has become “a received wisdom” spouted ad nauseum.

Equity also is a fuzzy concept, as equality of opportunity is sometimes convoluted to become equality of outcome. This will fail for very complicated reasons, especially a failure to meet competence, when over-promoted. Access to opportunities is not so bad, but quotas are awful and dangerous. As well, one has to account for individual interests, preferences and choices, as people within any so-called subgroup, racial or otherwise, may not choose to study physics, literature, plumbing, sociology or business.

Inclusion is also a fuzzy goal, as respect and inclusion depends upon the individual and what they do and say and how they interact with others. One EARNS respect on merit, as it can not be mandated, unless people are muzzled into submissive mandates. If you force it undercover, it only works until it does not. Politeness or censorship is not a proxy for respect or inclusion.

Inclusion is also dependent upon individual merit in accomplishments, involvement, and mutual respect for and from others and effort (also power, earned or otherwise, as socioeconomic classes will exist, in most cultures).

Denigrating our cultural history and modifying the pathetic “Charter of Rights” (with no thought as to obligations) in Canada will never fix anything; it will simply make actually information less accessible (illegal confiscations, firings and censorship).

  9. UBC is one of my alma maters. I quit donating to them years ago, as the thought of my money going to pay the salary of a DEI administrator was unbearable. It would make me complicit in a crime.

  10. You Readers have to lighten up, can’t you see that the advertised position is trying to get the most qualified for the position. What better person for a Neuromodular Condition of the Spinal Cord than someone who already suffers from the condition. I can’t think of a better qualified expert than someone who’s matter between the ears doesn’t connect to the matter between their legs, definitely a disconnect of the Neuromudulation connection of the Spinal Cord.

  11. “Minoritised gender identity groups”? Hire me, I bugger squid! Don’t get much more minority than that, now do it?
