    It’s an interesting report in the fact that it would appear that there are compromised local police departments that refused to intervene despite them knowing exactly which shipping crate the vehicle resided within.

    1. Son just had his stolen in North York last night from a hotel parking lot.
      Cop said he was one of 20 that he knew of.
      They were just in the city for the 11 year old son’s hockey. All his equipment and a team mate’s … gone.
      Hard on the adults, a hard one for the kids.

  7. Looks like Pootin ugently needs to give out more copies of “holy icons” to the Russian Air Force (see the https://www.smalldeadanimals.com/2024/02/21/february-21-2023-reader-tips-2/#comment-1865752 post), as it’s the only way they can improve their countermeasure systems.

    Yesterday, another Russian quasi-AWACS plane was shot down and they only had 9 of those at the start of the war (some of which were probably not operational) with at least 3 lost, they may not have any operational ones now.

    By the way, today is the second anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine (nobody seemed to mention it).

In light of that, I’d like to ask, by the same token, how do you feel about siding with such freaks of nature as “YeahWell”, “GYM”, “Kahane Tzadek”, etc? Just curious.

Really and truly, one has to be mentally handicapped to proclaim the recent capture of Avdiyivka “a decisive victory”.

    According to Teboul, several suspects were identified as organized crime associates.

    “One of the men was allegedly found by federal investigators to be implicated in a gang-related murder plot, which initiated a parallel investigation by IHIT leading to his arrest and a charge of conspiracy to commit murder,” he said of Michael Manpreet Johal. This charge was laid in connection with a shooting in Burnaby last year, IHIT says. On Sept. 16, 29-year-old Gagandeep Sandhu of Abbotsford was found shot to death in a car in the parkade of Northgate Village Shopping Centre on North Road and Still Creek Avenue.

    Johal, Richard Sen, Jagdeep Singh Cheema, Michael David Rast, and Kevin Moebes have all been identified by police as “the main suspects.” …

    Meanwhile most of the media have NOT listed the names of those arrested for some reason.

  11. The CBC news’s Aaron Wherry — a slavish Justin Trudeau supporter — reports on the agreement struck by Justhin and Jagmeet on the upcoming pharmacare program:

    In the above web page article, Liberal Wherry makes no mention of the proposed cost of the program. He also omits any mention that both the Liberals and Jagmeet refused to even discuss the cost of the free-this, free-that program. SDAers might be interested in watching Rosemary Barton’s Q/A program tomortow (Sunday). The above shineboy article mentions that Barton will be interviewing Jagmeet. Compelling viewing to be sure.

    1. Incredibly light on detail. The program will be universal (sure), will start with diabetes medication and birth control products and will eventually cost the government up to $15 billion per year, but with $1-2 billion in annual savings from bulk purchases.

      What is missing are the details such as what if I already have a drug plan? Do I still have to buy medication through my drug plan (and still pay for the plan) or does this switch over to the government, making my plan cheaper? What about unions? Will the cost of their drug plans go down? Will the government adopt limits based on income like they did for “universal” dental care? Who decides which drugs qualify such as Ozempic which the government is suggesting won’t? What happens if you’re retired and living in Florida? Can you buy insulin there and have it covered by the Canadian government? That will cost money.

      IMO the Liberals are dragging this out to stay in power as long as possible, knowing that the Conservatives will torpedo the move once in power in 2025. This pits the CONS (takers of the candy) against the LIBS (givers of the candy). The candy givers almost always win in Canada. Justin Trudeau’s government has made so many promises and yet the deficit never managed to balance itself. Getting more heavily into debt going into an election is an interesting strategy.
