    1. Not if you don’t tell anyone about it. Like…don’t call the cops. Just defend yourself and keep it to yourself.

  1. Let the people take care of the eco terrorists. In fact let the people take care of all the problems, the ‘authorities’ have failed at everything.

    1. The eco-terrorists will be given coffee and donuts by the Canadian polizia … to “keep the peace”.

  2. The legal system in Canada that charges a clerk for disarming and retaliating – self-defense – just shows that the System is simply government theft.
It steals the citizens wealth and if you attempt to shortcut their criminal system by applying “vigilante” justice, you’re stealing from them.
    How dare you.
You could take 9 out of 10 judges and crown prosecutors and all their minions and parachute them all into C.A.G.E. (Canadian Arctic Gulag of Ellesmere) and the nation would prosper.

  3. Mabey it is time for for that old adage ” Shoot, Shovel , shut Up ” . Just saying..Steve O

  4. ““A struggle ensued and the clerk was struck with the bat before grabbing the bat away from the suspect,” police said.
The suspect fled out of the store. Police say the clerk followed the man outside and then struck him several times with the baseball bat along a nearby sidewalk.”

So the robber, who hit the clerk with the bat only gets assault, but the clerk gets aggravated assault charges, and the police are known for not doing shit, since if the clerk didn’t go after the violent robber, the police would have just taken a report, and nothing would happen.

What’s the over under on the violent robber getting bail before the clerk?

    1. I think some cops need to feel the business end of a bat. Having to defend one’s self against the cops is getting tiresome in this country.

  5. Only the police are allowed to continue assaulting a suspect after he quits resisting. The Criminal Code only allows use of sufficient force to deter. Following the suspect as he fled meant the clerk was no longer under any further threat from the suspect and had no justification to continue following him or hitting him. Down in the US the clerk would be lauded as a hero.

    1. I understand what you have written.

But, left alone, the robber would probably be back.

I wonder how many priors the robber has

  6. Never involve the government or da poe-leese in your affairs … if you can take care of the problem yourself.

I think the store clerk was instilling a sense of good citizenship upon the robber’s heart and mind. I expect the robber will never attempt a robbery again. So … Job well done.

In a real country, that clerk would be getting a citation and medal and key to the city.

  7. Re the store clerk: It wasn’t assault. It was an educational session.

The robber struck the clerk with the bat, but the clerk was insufficiently injured such that the clerk got the bat away from the robber.

The robber left, but the clerk generously donated his time to demonstrate to the robber the proper way to assault someone with a bat. Note that a) the robber did not get the bat away from the clerk and 2) the robber was hurtin’ for certain as the clerk landed quite a few blows with the bat.

The clerk should submit a bill to the robber for the tutoring session. The police have no business interfering in education. Stick to policing and leave educating to the educators.

  8. Re Don’t post pictures of porch thieves.

“Call the police, give that proof to the police. We’ll do the investigation, bring that person to justice, and file some charges”

    Really?
    Investigate? Not bloody likely.
File some charges? Unlikely. And if by some miracle, the accused gets to court, a judge will let them off.
