   1. Agreed. A technician who didn’t say much outside of his sound.

      I did like his version of Big Bad Bill that he recorded with his Dad who was a jazz musician.

      1. I’ll take any number of players over EVH. Give me substance over flash any day. Clapton, Page, Beck, Richard Thompson, Harrison, Richards, Hendrix, May, Santana, Peter Green, Glen Campbell … I could go on. Besides what Van Halen did to ‘You Really Got Me’, far from being an improvement, was an abomination, in my opinion.

2. I have one of the Peaveys. The assymetrical shape of the neck plays better than any other guitar I’ve picked up. It’s so popular that you can get that neck shape from warmoth.

   The tone isn’t that great. The pickups are too high output.

3. I have a couple of Larrivee electric guitars that are utterly awesome. Out of the box, as they say, they require no tinkering.
