The long standing allegation that a good proportion of the money being sent to him by Canadian & American taxpayers is being stolen is somehow a slight against all Ukrainians is preposterous.   12. Zelenshy’s net worth before taking office was $3M and 3 years in it ballooned to just under $900M. One does not acquire that much wealth on a politician’s salary. Add in the fact that Ukraine has traditionally been the most corrupt country in Europe for almost 2 centuries and that says it all.

          His salary was 171k. How much did his net worth change due to the salary? Zero.

      5. Actually, he owns a network of offshore companies. You’ll find them in the British Virgin Islands, Cyprus, Belize and a number of other places. In a charade to divert accusations, he handed over Maltex Multicapital Corp., to his business partner. And then, promptly, named that business partner his presidential aid. And, low and behold, the dividends from that company are paid to another (newer) company owned by….(drum roll)…his wife.

        You’ll, also, want to pay particular attention to funds he received in his campaign from Kolomoisky, who is accused of stealing US$5.5 billion from his own bank and funneling it offshore in concert with his partner, Hennadiy Boholiubov. Zelensky and his television production partners were beneficiaries of a web of offshore firms that allegedly received $41 million in funds from Kolomoisky’s Privatbank.

        I’m no rocket scientist. But, when a foreign leader gets hundreds of billions of taxpayer money and equipment, and already has a network of shell companies. I get a little nervous. Especially when he refuses to even comment on what I noted above.
