  1. The government gets carbon tax on planting the seeds, fertilizing the crops, and harvest the crop.
    Then they get more to dry the crops before they collect even more to transport the crops for processing.
    Then some more during the processing into a finished product;
    then some more transporting the finished product to the warehouse;
    then some more transporting it to stores, who also have to pay carbon tax to heat their facilities to a warm comfortable temperature.

    That’s at least 7 bites, but the bank of canada has the gall to claim it only represents a small amount of increased cost, and the liberals claim the carbon tax refund will give 80% of families more than they pay…

  2. I tried explaining this to the partner of my niece, who is from Ottawa, and works for the Bank of Canada. He told me that I should take the diesel engine out of my combine and tractor and put in batteries and go electric. I explained that the best engineers on the planet can’t make that work. Every piece of farm machinery coming off the assembly line today has a diesel engine. His dads comment, “get a heat pump”. How could I tell he was from Ottawa.
