    1. Yes, the province long ago lost what used to a sense of individual freedom. Too many freaking socialists and imports from other provinces and countries have forever altered the culture of Alberta.

      1. Yup….was in NE Calgary and I wondered if I had
inadvertently time warped to some Shitholeistan. And all the commie ndp pinkos in Calgary and Edmonton.

Sure not like the old days. RIP Alberta.

      1. Heh. You western folks do a good job of picking socialist scum to lead you all by yourselves. Nobody has to ‘send’ you anyone.

        1. We do indeed, and thanks for pointing them out. We can always count on you to ridicule.

Maybe our freedom fights don’t measure up to your standard but at least we try.

Who are your Ottawa freedom fighters JM?

    2. Don’t know what you’re laughing at. The hordes are much worse elsewhere in Bananada and he/him/Hamas just gave the Orcs another $50M.

The Jihadi Olympics have begun and it’s a world wide event. Keep your head on a swivel lest it end up on a pike.

  1. “to “acknowledge the humanitarian crisis” ongoing in Gaza” provoked by Gaza in the 1st place

    SMFH

Also re all these shouting matches pro-Palestine, I refuse to believe we’re same species. I mean after what they did Oct 7. Ilhan Omar, Tlaib faking desperation with “where’s the humanity” oh poor Gaza – is this for real?!? I mean there are people on this planet to justify/condone what Hamas did Oct 7?!?

    Wow.

  2. Immigration is Liberal strength has destroyed Alberta! Especially Edmonton and Calgary!

  3. For all its bluster, Alberta is an urban socialist paradise, really no different than Ontario who also had an NDP government.

    1. Bluster? In the last 18 months or so, grass roots Albertans have been slowly & surely taking back their province from inept, lying politicians and putting safeguards in place to ensure the bastards are on a short leash. Four significant successes in four tries, with a fifth target in a matter of weeks and more coming down the pipeline.

Name a single other province or territory who has done anything close.

      1. Wont make a difference if you folks vote another NDP governmemt And how is getting your own Provincial Police force going? Ontario and Quebec already have one. There, named two.

  4. And who, one may ask, is the mayor of Redmonton? Possibly a former Trudeau diversity hire cabinet minister? Edmonton is a government town where reality seldom visits.

    1. And a university town too. Double whammy. I moved out of there a few years ago and haven’t looked back.

  5. Sixty years of Multiculturalism erasing Canadian history and wallowing in the nihilist mire of the notion that all cultures are equal along with the cultural Marxism march through the institutions in a rich province where “Conservatives” spent like the NDP, swelling the ranks of the public sector – will do that kind of thing. Palestinian activism has been a feature of universities for at least 50 years.

  6. I’ll be going there next week to light the bridge in Red and Black, in sympathy for the innocents killed in the Dresden firebombing.

  7. I remember when Edmonton was predominantly conservative, save for 1 or 2 ridings. What the hell happened?

  8. I have never seen anything in Edmonton for which Calgary would be “jealous” of. I’m not dissing all of Edmonton all of the time, the city may have some nice things about it, the perimeter road encircling it so one does not have to actually enter into the city to bypass it on the way to the north country seems well thought out, for example. They had a successful hockey club for awhile. I think they dropped the ball when not covering Commonwealth Stadium. In 50 years of everyday driving I’d never be able to figure out their numbering system for getting around town.

However, if one reads to the bottom of the article posted above, it is mentioned that Calgary had the Calgary Tower lit up in the Israeli colors, and not in terrorist colors. In spite of our current and previous Mayor’s of Calgary being, well, almost “Edmonton like”… we appear to not have need of jealousy on this occasion.

So OJ, where you mention Calgary being “jealous” I’ll just have to accept that you enjoy stirring the pot now and then, which is all good, and especially enjoyable at or near to Thanksgiving, Christmas, or when the entire family is present and “stuck with each other” over a long weekend.
    😉

    1. It isn’t just “welfare” but the total lack of understanding of what the legitimate role of the state should be, which at present appears to be everything and anything.

  9. And they have the gall to call the United Conservatives Jew-haters. Ernest Manning expelled the anti-Semites from the Alberta Social Credit Party.

Tommy Douglas and even David Lewis never found it expedient to do likewise. I wonder why?

(The Quebec Social Credit Party really were anti-Semites, because they were recruited from the scum of French Canada. Today they style themselves the Parti and Bloc Québécois.)
