Not surprising when today’s educators can’t count two balls and a dick: …forty percent of Baltimore’s schools lack a single student who has achieved grade-level proficiency in math. In various cities, the response of administrators has often been to lower the standards to continue to move kids out of the system without the skills needed to thrive in this economy.

This is true about public-sector union run public schools everywhere. Though it is definitely worse in Roman Catholic-ruled cities such as Baltimore.
Those who rule us purposely keep us uneducated. They choose the curriculum, and they convince us that the most idiotic forms of learning are actually good, such as common core.
And when grades predictably decrease, they whine that they’re so poorly funded and need more taxpayer funds.
Which they then pocket.

Around here the Catholic school educated kids are miles ahead of public school kids when it comes to basics like reading and math.
Catholic school is so popular that there is a waiting list due to all the Muslim parents trying to send thier kids to a safe place where they actually learn something useful.
Absolutely. As is virtually every alternative to non-public schools – they are all light years ahead. And it should come as no surprise that there is always negative pressure on those schools, especially Christian schools such as Trinity. But virtually never on Catholic schools, and certainly none that ever leads to anything.
Which is exactly what one would expect if the Roman Catholics in gov’t were in charge of the education system.
In Ontario parents send their kids to the catholic schools because they’re the good schools. Just sayin…
Anti-white racism is destroying black education. Passing blacks without effort because you believe the system is racist and you end up with black college kids who can’t read or add. The Democrats and their racism of low expectations! They have turned the inner cities into the shithole world.

Canada has a no fail policy in most primary schools. No exams through secondary school is starting a trend. I used to wonder what would happen to these kids when they went to University? Would most fail? Nope. Lower the bar, pass anyway, doesn’t matter. Not truly concerned about educating them. Just interested in collecting tuition.

When a culture is such that the qualities of the elected and appointed elites are aspirational, ignorance appears to be the ticket. That the results will be disastrous are a concept that requires self-censorship by those attempting to “get ahead” within all the captured institutions.
The ugly truth is in the 1950’s before LBJ’s Great Society, Blacks were steadily increasing their wealth and assets. Blacks had higher rates of marriage, and fewer out of wedlock births than those irresponsible White Folks.
Then the Affluent White Female Liberals decided to “save” those poor underprivileged Black People. The Great Society. Affirmative Action. Dozens of well meaning government programs that interfered in people’s lives, broke up families, and rewarded negative qualities like sloth, ignorance, and irresponsibility. It has been downhill ever since.
The more we get government involved in helping people, the worse they do, whether Black, White, Hispanic, Native American, or whatever. Kind, caring, sensitive AWFLs keep trying to fix people, and they only make it worse.
Let’s face it, the US problems with their child population is very complicated. The Constitution was written for white males who owned property, and later modified for other free males and women. Ditto for our Canadian one which does not even acknowledge property rights.
Canadian and American educational curriculae have changed and now focus too heavily on social skills and communication, not on the 3 R’s, more needed now than ever.
Of course, if most women have to back to work, how do kids learn basic skills at home by age 4, like learning about fractions while serving pies, how to wash up, fold laundry, cook (1 year-olds can make a salad), do errands? And most children benefit from have two loving parents who are both very available and on the same page.
Some children should go to more technical schools, not just liberal arts colleges. Governments should spend less on funding “studies” programs, with no logical progression to an actual job. School testing is very important and very highly predictive of later success. There is nothing wrong with a delayed start in grade one. Never send your later birthday 5 year-old boy or girl, if he is not verbally and physically ready. Grade one is not a daycare.
Teach your kids to read yourself, especially if they are going into French immersion schools or schools with many second language learners, including those from American homes where children have not developed school-ready communication. A love of books is a lifelong positive ability.
Most teenagers need lots of guidance as they mature and get very distracted by their peer group. It is not always obvious, but they need lots of family/sports outings and opportunities to talk. As Dr. Jordan Pederson says, “never raise a child that you do not like”.
The school can not fix your mess.
As it appears, it is by design.
The ruling class and their punks don’t need educated people.

Leftists have promised us they can fix blacks and make them just like us, they just need education, that failed, then they said they need more money, that failed. Then they went on this witch hunt, saying oh it must be their diet, lets feed them breakfast, that failed, lets feed them lunch, that failed, now they are even trying feeding them dinner, that failed. They have it in their mind that they can fix them because they believe they are just like whites. But the science says there is an IQ gap and IQ has alot to do with success in school and life and science also says IQ is largely genetic, leftists just assume that is racism and dismiss it and then just blame something else.
