OMG, it’s the epitome of a total lack of self-awareness when you organize a ‘Poverty Simulation’ event to be held at your country club.
So what will they be serving at the event; T-bone steaks instead of filet mignon and shrimp instead of lobster? Ya gotta make it real if you’re going to put yourself in the poor man’s shoes, right?
Funny stuff that. Years ago I was invited to play a few rounds at a private club on long island. Their idea of a hamburger was lean sirloin steak, ground and made into a 2 inch thick patty and cooked med rare. Steak and lobster was also on the menu.
