There is one prominent expert in the medical discipline much like Fauci who as well as Fauci had been wrong during all of his professional life. At the Imperial College of London his nickname is doctor doom and his real name is Neil Ferguson. The Neil Ferguson who’s mortality predictions of covid encouraged most governments to implement lockdowns. Nobody ever has ask him how accurate his previous predictions for other pandemics had been. He is a bit younger than Fauci and still has some catching up to do but with the unaccountability of academics there is nothing getting in his way to predict doom until reaching retirement.

He’s arguing that the Cochran Study (the most comprehensive, objective and focused scientific study relative to mask effectiveness) doesn’t really apply because… 1. There are many other studies that tout the benefit of masking 2. A detailed study with significantly more data than other studies is less accurate 3. Such a detailed encompassing study can’t be applied to the individual who may see benefits from wearing a mask on a personal level.

I agree with you. He claimed ‘other studies’ but was unable to cite even one. He tried to claim that the Cochran study was not relevant to anything related to individual outcomes, but was unable to cite even one.

OHSA has done a bunch of studies on the hazards or long term masking citing increased levels of CO2 in the blood and decreased cognitive ability but that might have been the point.

And as one who’s worked in an industry that required and trained me to work with the run of the mill dust mask for particulates up to and including full face Scott Air Packs (You name it…I’ve worn it) I’m here to tell you those idiotic surgical masks I see people wearing Don’t. Do. Jack. Shit. for aerosols which is why I refused to wear one. Anyone who tries to tell you different is a liar. Yes, even the much vaunted N95 they’re pushing. Seriously, just stop already!
Anyone I see wearing a mask is no different than my little granddaughter who needs her “blankey” to sleep. It’s a feel good thing and that’s ok…you do you. The only difference of course is my granddaughter doesn’t get in my face for refusing to take one to bed when I sleep. Ms. Foodland, Covid Nazi check out girl with a newfound sense of authority and who didn’t get enough hugs as a child…not so much.
However, I have a feeling we’ll be going through the same stupid exercise later this year.
I had a “Safety Officer” demand I put on a N95 mask, because the P100s on my PAPR were insufficient per what was explained to her in the COVID safety class she was certified on.

Every group study is, by definition, made up of hundreds or even thousands of individual studies. When Fauxi uses that as an excuse to promote the wearing of masks, all you have to do is bring that point up. The interviewer wasn’t very smart. Fauxi needs to be cornered and removed from the airwaves for the poisonous gas bag that he is.
GAMES.. Political games.. Lots of studies in the last 100 years that prove they don’t work to stop the flu.. But no studies were done to prove that they do work.. Not a single one..
