Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

28 of 42 BC Members of Pariament are either Liberal, or the NDP who keep them in power. You elected this gong show, now you reap the whirlwind. I would love to sympathise but if you elect clowns, expect a circus.

Who are telling off here?
The Liberal Government of Canada has and is screwing up everything they touch. They screwed up Immigration, Obscene Overspending and Budgets, Covid Response, CO2 Climate Farce, CBDC, Inflation, Gender Dysmorphia.
If it was just one or two things you could say this Government can be forgiven they got it mostly right. This is everything; there is nothing they touch that works, everything is screwed up which reveals a pattern.
The Liberals have committed Canadians to ruinous international treaties (UN, World Bank, WEF and compacts as well as all the previously mentioned policy failures. Together they indicate a pattern of deliberate damage to Canadian sovereignty and the well being of the citizens of this once free nation.
Say hello to you will own nothing and be happy! Our government no longer have the interest of the average citizen in their actions.
Everything they have done is intentional. They want to destroy you.
“The Liberal Government of Canada has and is screwing up everything they touch.”
They overfished and collapsed the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, the richest fishery in the world.
I will dispute one point: First they came for the oil industry. Nope. It was cigarettes. And the “war on tobacco” was structured in such a way as to legitimize the idea that an entire, legitimate, industry could be made into a political pariah. Once sufficiently demonized, that industry could be picked clean until gone. It didn’t fully work, because “Big Tobacco” is still with us, but it’s more like “Mid-Size Tobacco.”
The biggest accomplishment, and it has flown right under the radar of probably 90% of the population, was getting the courts to allow lawsuits against tobacco companies for burdens placed by smokers on the health care system, along with class action suits for individuals supposedly harmed because they didn’t know cigarettes were harmful. But the biggie is the suits for health care system costs.
First off, governments have received the lion’s share of tobacco revenue for decades. Governments take more from a tobacco purchase than the growers, processors, manufacturers, shippers, and retailers combined, with no risk capital input. Governments have long held the right to tax tobacco at a level that would cover the health care burdens created. But they didn’t.
Because tobacco was never the fiscal scourge that’s been claimed.
Do the math. Most smokers don’t actually die from smoking related illnesses. Only a modest fraction of those who do, actually burden the system. But they all pay in for years and years. Thus, the lawsuits against tobacco companies are actually a form of retro-active taxation against lawful, and already taxed, profits earned from a perfectly legal commercial enterprise.
Now, if you pay attention, you’ll see a lot of similarities between the way “progressives” used to talk about tobacco, and the way they talk about energy now. The day is not long off where energy companies are dragged into court with the plan of getting the courts to retroactively apply higher levels of taxation than what was levied when the profits were earned. This retroactive taxation is only applicable to industries unfavored by the “progressives.” It’s also a backhanded way of taxing least-favored entities at higher rates than most-favored ones.
It also legitimizes, with a legal stamp of approval, the idea that you can legislate entire sectors of lawful commerce into the dustbin of history, solely because they are of a nature that displeases “progressives.”
Exactomundo. And how much longer will it be before CRAZED political entities … such as Canada … begin prosecuting INDIVIDUALS because of their … carbon footprint?
The right in Canada would happily prosecute for “illegal” gun ownership.
Never blame on stupidity what can be attributed to malice. Non Disclosure Agreement Spendy Black Face Barbie Watcher is the perfect blackmailable puppet to carry out Operation Colonel Klink and decimate every industry in Canada. Now that he’s implemented scorched earth politics in BC its time to get rid of the fishing industry too.
Ever seen me pee, Billy?
First they came for the little guy., and you all laughed.
Just ignore Ottawa entirely. They “government” is bat shit crazy.
…unlike all the multinationals and banks, who are all on your side?
Gimme a break!
Just ignore Ottawa entirely. Screw them.
First they came for the gun owners.
…
Then they came for whoever they liked.
Canada, left or right, is screwed: The right in Canada is to the left of Chicago, just ask OJ.
It’s pretty hard to “just ignore Ottawa “ when the people who wear the guns on their belts in this country have shown us all that they will enforce any and all orders from above.
With a smirk on their faces .
Philip Luty agrees.
Depends on how many or ignoring Ottawa. Ignore them. They will do nothing.
All I know is that the Princess Louisa inlet is stocked full of cod. No danger of overfishing there. Red cod (rockfish) and ling cod. Drop your bait and catch a fish. The trick is to use REALLY HEAVY weight on your line to bypass all the small fish at the top …and get to the big ones below. Every dropped line … you get a fish. Now THATS fishing. And while you’re sitting in your little skiff in the water at 6:30 am … you can heard the the bears in the woods. The environment is pristine without the help of any NGO’s
We live in an incredible place in the world and I know that Inlet well. I’ve been in some shitty places in the world and come home to Vancouver Island and our coast gratefully. Your post made be smile. We are blessed friend.
It’s truly beautiful. And my observation is that the people living on those BC inlets are the very best stewards of the oceans and the fisheries. It’s the urban Easterners who want their Salmon and eat the roe too. They know nothing of which they speak. It’s all politics. Leftist politics.
And BTW … that cod? Mmmmm good eating!
Coming from the island I can tell you as soon as you find a good fishing spot DFO shuts it down next year. It’s all a bunch of garbage.
James; you just have to keep them to yourself brother. 😉
Will watch video soon.
In the meantime, Jordan Pererson was asked in an interview some time ago if there was a single thing he could praise Trudeau for.
He paused and suggested that maybe his efforts on behalf of oceans.
I thought: no, this is a rare individual who lacks a single virtue vis-a-vis governance (and probably in his personal life as well).
Never post your favorite fishing spot on the interwebs…;^)
Let’s cancel provincial sport fishing licenses while we are at it.
They serve no purpose other than taxing and subjugation.
