Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

America Before Columbus.
It says, “Video not available.”
I have to give them props for historical accuracy, because as best I know, video before Columbus wasn’t available. I doubt that the peoples greeting the European explorers were fighting over VHS vs Beta. It was going to be several hundred years before video became available.
One hundred million people in the Americas before Columbus. Bullshit.
Well, there were some very substantial civilizations in Mexico and northern South America. It may be optimistic but it doesn’t seem completely unreasonable.
Also “Video unavailable / This video is not available” here. Maybe blocked in U.S. or there is a sign-in required.
No problem here.
Don’t forget that when Europeans arrived in the Americas, they brought Smallpox, Influenza and other diseases with them.
The Native Americans had no immunity to those European diseases. The diseases killed millions of them. Smallpox probably killed 90% of those infected.
In return, the Aboriginal Americans probably gave Syphilis to Europe, which killed millions of Europeans when it spread through Europe in the 1500’s. Syphilis was much deadlier when it first spread in Europe than it is today. Just like COVID and the Spanish flu.
And who gave us tobacco?
They still do Joe, and at much cheaper prices.
Not sure how this appeared in my computer, but here is the full 3+ hour video. Very professional. Too professional?
