My advice for any company investing in Quebec? Get out, while you still can.
A Quebec trucking company has been ordered to reinstate a driver who was fired after she drank at least nine beers before she lost control of her truck on a Pennsylvania highway.
Labour arbitrator Huguette April says the driver’s drinking was from alcoholism — a disability — and that trucking company Groupe Robert should have made a reasonable accommodation for her.
I faked every alcoholism.

Would have to be a self-driving truck. If she happens to wake up or sober up she could work on the travel logs.
$40,000 a year driving- riding around with cool air, television, sleeping bunk. it’s not a bad job.
Reasonable Accommodation?
Put her working in the warehouse with a daily breathalyzer check. Move boxes or move on. Your choice.
Drunks driving 2 Ton SUVs and cars are bad enough. Drunks driving a 40 Ton truck are downright scary.

Seems like the Quebec legislature is letting disabled people write the laws. Is being retarded still a disability? Or don’t they count that anymore? Do they just give you a job in government instead of a diagnosis?
Smart people are leaving Canada at a very high rate. Most of the migrants coming in and planning to stay are low IQ. Most of the high IQ get their degree, and go back home.

Under federal Employment Equity laws, those from historically disadvantaged groups such as the disabled (physically or mentally), women, the indigenous and visible minorities must be given priority in hiring including making special accommodations.
Since banks come under the federal law, do you think I should apply at a bank for a job and claim to be disabled on the basis of a psychiatric disability, that of being a diagnosed kleptomaniac? 🙂

Still, with a DUI conviction, I’m surprised her Commercial Driver’s License wasn’t suspended (for causing an accident while intoxicated)? Was she a contract driver or an employee?
Where’s the Motor Vehicle Licensing authority while this is all happening?
